The Beekmantown Eagles pose for there team photo as they are crowned 2017 NYS North Division II Champions. The Beekmantown Eagles would meet up with the Salmon River Shamrocks in the NYS Division II Quarterfinals with the winner going to the final four. The game would remain scoreless until the 5:22 mark of the second period when Josh McCaulley would score for the Eagles to make it 1-0. The Shamrocks would tie the game up at 1 at the 11:35 mark of the second period. That is where the game would stay until the 2:22 mark of double when Beekmantown's Cade Collins would score the game-winner off the face-off for the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort, Cole Harvey would save 24 as the Eagles go to the final four to face St Lawerence. Gallery

The #1 Plattsburgh Hornets would face off in the Section VII D2 championship with the #4 Beekmantown Eagles at the Plattsburgh Fieldhouse. This would be a game between two very evenly matched and would be a defensive game and game where both goals would perform great. The lone goal of the game would come with 46 seconds left in the first period when Matthew Maggy would tip the shot by Nathan Herbet. That would be all that the Eagles would need as they would hold on for the 1-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles advance to the NYS Division II playoffs and play the Salmon River Shamrocks. Gallery

CVAC Class B Semi-Finals: #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs #6 Beekmantown Eagles February 25th 2017

Beekmantown's Kenney Mabry (3) go up and under the defender to create space and make the basket. The #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the #6 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class B Semi-Finals. The Eagles would have upset on there mind early in the game as they would have an 11-5 lead after the first. In the second quarter, the Cougars would start to claw there way back wining the quarter 10-7 although the Eagles would have an 18-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the scoring would pick up and the Eagles would win the third quarter 16-13 and have a 34-28 lead head to the fourth. Although in the fourth the Cougars would have shutdown defense winning the quarter 12-4. With the Cougars would get the comeback victory at 40-38 and advance to the Class B Finals against the Plattsburgh Hornets. Gallery

Peru and Northern Adirondack wrestle battle for position in the 150lb weight class Northern Adirondack would eventually win the class. It would be the section VII sectional championships from Peru. The five schools that would be competing would be Peru Saranac, Ausable Valley, Northern Adirondack, and Beekmantown. All class winners would advance on to the New York State wrestling championships in two weeks in Albany. The eventual school champion would be Peru followed by Saranac. Gallery

As the Beekmantown Eagles would match up with the Plattsburgh Hornets in CVAC action. The Hornets would answer the bell first as they score 1:30 into the first period on Paul Fine-Lease's goal. The game would stay there till 2:34 into the second period when Plattsburgh's Seth Atwood would light the lamp to make it 2-0. The Hornets would expand there lead to 3-0 on Ben Champagnes' goal in the last 3 minutes of the second period. Although the Eagles would not give up the fight as they would score in the 6-minute mark of the third period on the Kaden Kowlaski goal. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets would secure the 3-1 victory and go to 10-4-1 while the Eagles fall to 7-9-1 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Hayden King (21) with the crunching hit along the side boards. It would be the opening game of the Beekmantown Holiday Tournament featuring the Beekmantown Eagles and the Rye Garnets. The Garnets would not take long to take control of the game as they would score twice in the first period for the 2-0 lead. In the second period they would add one more to extend there lead to 3-0. In the third period, the Rye offense would open up with three goals. The Eagles would give up some fight they would add a goal from Matthew Maggy. Although it would not be enough as the Eagles would fall to the Garnet 6-1 and fall to 1-3-1 on the season. Gallery
