The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oneonta State Red Dragons in SUNYAC Basketball. The Cardinals would have a huge lead that they would see a slow start to go away although they would hold on for the victory. The Cardinals would have a 40-33 lead at the break. The Dragons would stay close throughout the second half as both teams would have 42 points each. As the Cardinals would hang on for the 85-79 victory. In the winning effort, Shamony McIntosh would have 18 points as the Cardinals go to 10-5 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's goal would be scored by Allison Era to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead in the first minute. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host ECAC-West conference foe Elmira Soaring Eagles The game would be very physical at times as both teams were looking for the upper hand in the conference standings. The Cardinals would get the early lead on Allison Era's goal in the first minute of the game. The Cardinals would take the 2-0 lead on Andrea Zeismann's power-play goal at the ten-minute mark of the first. Then in the last 1:30 of the period, Elmira would get on the broad with Sam Curk's goal to make it 2-1 Cardinals after the first period. That is where the game would remain until Alyssa Parke would score at the 11:15 mark of the second period to make it 3-1 after the second period. Then in the third period, the Cardinals would get one more goal this time from Shannon Stewart with 3:10 left in the game. In the winning effort, Sydney Aveson would stop 21 of 22 shots as the Cardinals stay undefeated on the season. Gallery

Saranac's Kyle Erickson (10) wins in the zone face off to gain the advantage for the Chiefs. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Churchville-Chilli in the North Country Cup at the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. Churchville would get three goals in the first period and not look back from there. Churchville would take a 4-0 lead 8 minutes into the second period. Dylan Baker would get the Chiefs on the broad with a goal with under a minute left in the period. Although before time would expire Churchville would score again to make it 5-1 after the second period. In the third period, Churchville would score in the opening minute to make it 6-1. Then in the final 30 seconds of the game, the Chiefs would get two goals from Jacob Lilledahl and Matt McCasland to make it a 6-3 Churchville win. In the lose Zach LaReau would stop 37 of 43 shots as the Chiefs fall to 2-11. The Chiefs will look to regroup when they get back into sectional play next week. Gallery

Northeastern Clinton's Jordan LaMere (4) sweeps across in front of the Batavia Norte Dame goalie on the backhander that slides just wide. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would play the Bativa Norte Dame Fighting in the North Country Cup from the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. The lack of numbers due to injury and the game the night before would help matters. The Cougars would fall to the Fighting Irish by a score of 7-2. Getting the two goals for the cougars would be Ryan Marks and Alex Duffy will Reece Tucker would have two assists. With the lose the Cougars fall to 6-4 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Noah Bowes (32) goes up and lays it of the window for basket as part of his 24 point night. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in section ten basketball action between to longtime rivals. The game would get very phyiscail with many fouls called through out the game even a couple injury timeouts were needed but what else would you expect with rivals. When the first quarter would come to end the Bulldogs would hold a slim 12-11 lead. In the second quarter it would be more of the same and the Bulldogs would have a 26-20 lead at the break. The Panthers would come out fired up and trim the Bulldogs lead to 39-38 headed to the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Panthers would actual take a four point lead with four minutes to play but the Bulldogs would have a fifteen point swing and cruise to the 60-49 win A key factor in the Bulldogs win would be that made 23 free throws. Leading the way in victory for the Bulldogs would be Noah Bowes with 24 points as the Bulldogs go to 8-3 on the season. Gallery
