The Adirondack J's would face off with the Phootball Phanatics during week three of the indoor flag football season. The Adirondack J's would not waste time taking control of the game as they would have a 38-7 lead at the half. In the second it would be of the same as they would outscore them 51-17 and secure the 89-24 victory. With the win, the Adirondack J's go to 2-0 while the Phootball Phantincs drop to 1-2 on the season. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #12 Oswego State Lakers February 22 2014

Plattsburgh's Connor Gorman (11) with the quick wrister that he sends just wide of the net. Well, the end of the regular season would come to a close with to bitter rivals locking horns. As the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oswego State Lakers. The game would remain scoreless until just 26 seconds into the second period when Michael Radisa would make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Lakers would come back and tie the game up at Michael Montagna goal at 4:45 to make it 1-1. Then just under a minute later the Lakers would take the 2-1 lead on Andrew Barton's power-play goal. The Cardinals would tie the game back up just two minutes later on Michael Radisa second goal of the night at 2-2. Then just about a minute late Alex Brenton would give the Cardinals the 3-2 lead. The Lakers would keep fighting and get the equalizer at 12:27 on Alex Botten's goal to make it 3-3. That is where the game would stay all the way till the 17:23 mark of third when Oswego Brandon Adams would light the lamp for the eventual game-winner to give the Lakers the 4-3 win. In the losing effort, Mathieu Cadieux would make 16 saves as the Cardinals finish the regular season at 19-4-2 and head into the SUMYAC playoffs as the number #2 seed. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Cortland State Red Dragons February 21 2014

Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (34) with the stick save as part of a 13 save night. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC play. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead on Kevin Emerling's goal just 49 seconds into the game. The Cardinals would come right back and score again just 50 seconds later to make it 2-0 on Alex Jensen's goal. The Cardinals would continue to strike as they would make it 3-0 just 90 seconds later on Kevin Emerling's second of the night. The Red Dragon's would get into the act at 6:58 of the first on Nick Zappia's goal to make it 3-1. In the second period, the Cardinals would put the game out of reach as they would light the lamp four times to make it 7-1. Getting the goals for the Cardinals would be Ryan Franan, Alex Brenton, Kevin Emerling (a third of the night), and Michael Cassidy. In the third period just to put the icing on the cake they would add four more goals to secure the 11-1 win. Getting the goals in the third would be Luke Baleshta, Kyle Hall, Alex Jensen (2nd of the night), and Alex Brenton (2nd of the night). In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux and Sam Foley would combine to stop 20 shots as the Cardinals go to 19-3-2 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Basketball Class D Semi-Finals #2 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #3 Hermon-Dekalb Green Demons February 18 2014

Chateaugay's Rachel Young (3) battles for the loose ball along the sidelines on the scramble. The #2 Chateaugay Bulldogs would play the #3 Hermon-Dekalb Green Demons in Section X Class D Semis at SUNY Canton. The teams would play a tight first quarter and be tied at 13. In the second quarter, they would stay that way with a 9-9 quarter and be tied at 22 at halftime. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Green Demons would flex their muscle and win the quarter 13-7 to take a 35-29 lead into the fourth. In the fourth, the Bulldogs would do there best to try and make a comeback but would come up short and would fall 41-36. In the losing effort, Hannah Cook would lead the way with 11 points as the Bulldogs season comes to an end at 16-4. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Basketball Class D 1st Round #4 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #13 Clifton-Fine Eagles February 12 2014

Chateaugay's Seth Young (3) lays it off the window for the score to lead the team with 10 points. The #4 Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the #13 Clifton-Fine Eagles in the First Round of the Section X Class D Tournament. The Bulldogs would step on the gas early and not look back with a 34-9 lead after one. In the second quarter, they would start to let up and win the quarter 10-8 to take a 44-17 lead at the break. The Eagles would actually win the third quarter 11-8 but the Bulldogs still had a 52-28 lead. Then in the last quarter, the Bulldogs would put on the final touches with a 10-7 quarter for the 62-35 win. With the win, Seth Young would lead the way with 10 points as the Bulldogs advance to the Quarterfinals against Edwards-Knox as they go to 13-6 on the season. Gallery.

The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in taking the 1-0 lead at the three-minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there till 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period, Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period, it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period, the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29, the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power-play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory. Plattsburgh's Dakoda Mason (9) taps the puck in on the doorstep gives the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. The #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC play at the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Dillan Fox at 5:50 of the first period. The game would remain there until the 11:24 mark of the second period when Dakoda Mason would tap it in on the doorstep to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Then just over three minutes later the Cardinals would go up 3-0 on Alex Jensen's goal. Then just 2:53 into the third period the Cardinals would go up 4-0 on Alex Brenton's goal. The Blue Devils would be able to avoid the shutout though when Zach White would score at 8:17 to make it 4-1 victory for the Cardinals. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop 20 of 21 as the Cardinals go to 17-3-2 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Seth Young (3) with the layup that he lays off the window on the breakout. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Section X East Division this would also be Senior Night as the Bulldogs would play there last home game of the season. The Bulldogs would jump out to the quick 16-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would keep their foot down and win the quarter 16-10 and take the 32-19 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the Lumberjacks would do there best to keep it close and win the quarter 13-12 although the Bulldogs would still lead 44-32. In the fourth quarter, the teams would tie at 20 although that would be good enough for the Bulldogs to get the 64-52 win. In the winning effort, Tyler Jones would lead the way with 22 points as the Bulldogs go to 11-6 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Caitlin Miller (21) wins the opening tip cleanly. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Section X East Division action. The Bulldogs would jump out to the early lead at 10-4 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would extend there lead with a 12-3 quarter and take the 22-7 lead at the break. The third quarter would be real low scoring at 3-2 Bulldogs as they now have the 25-9 lead. The Bulldogs would wake back up in the fourth with an 18-4 quarter and secure 43-13 win. With the win the Bulldogs go to 14-3 on the season as Caitlin Miller and Abby Barnes would lead the way with 10 points. Gallery
