Malone's Connor Gallagher (32) with the baby hook over the defender. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Peru Indians at the Plattsburgh State Field House as part of the Section 7/10 Challenge. It would be defensive first half with the Huskies having the low scoring 23-20 lead at the break. In the second half, the Peru offense would come alive and be too much the Huskies to deal with as the Indians win the half 37-23. With the half going to the Indians by such a big margin they would get the come from behind win 57-46. In the losing effort for the Huskies Connor Gallager would lead the team with 12 points. NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Section 7/10 Challenge Saranac Chiefs Vs Brushton-Moira December 27 2014

Saranac's (14) and the Brushton defender battle for the ball underneath that would go for the jump ball. The Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the Brushton-Moira Panthers at the Plattsburgh State Field House as part of the Section 7/10 Challenge. It a game that would tight throughout with neither team seeing a more than ten-point lead. The Saranac Chiefs would have a 29-21 lead at the break thanks to a late half run. In the second half, the teams would play to a draw at 34 a piece that would end up giving the Saranac Chiefs the 63-55 victory. In the winning effort, Austin Myers would lead the way with 21 points. Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Basketball #3 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Colton-Peirpont Colts December 22 2014

Chateaugay's Dylan LaVoie (31) goes in for the uncontested lay up for the score. The #3 Chateaugay Bulldogs would opening up the home portion of the season against the Colton-Peirpont Colts in Section X East Division action. In the first quarter it would be a feeling out period for both teams as the Bulldogs would have a slim 7-2 lead. In the second quarter the Bulldog offense would come alive and take control of the game as they win the quarter 21-9 and take a 28-11 lead into the half. When the teams return for the third qurter it would be a tighter quarter as the Bulldogs would win the quarter 13-9 and have a 41-20 lead. In the fourth quarter it would be tight again but the Bulldogs would win the quarter 16-14 and get the 57-34 victory. In the winning effort Jordan Martin would lead the way with 16 points as the Bulldogs go to 5-0 on the season. Gallery.

NYSPHSAA Class B Quarterfinals: Plattsburgh Hornets Vs #2 Ogdensburg Blue Devils March 8 2014

Plattsburgh's Russell Serrano with the off-balance layup along the baseline. (15) The Plattsburgh Hornets would play the #2 Ogdensburg Blue Devils at the Plattsburgh State Field House in the quarterfinals. The game would start out close as the Blue Devils would have a 27-22 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Blue Devils would start to pull away as they had a 31-8 quarter and took the 58-30 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be more of the same the Blue Devils win the quarter 25-8 and take an 83-38 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Blue Devils would call off the attack and the Hornets would win the quarter 11-9. Although it would not nearly be enough as the Blue Devils get the 92-49 win. With the lose the Hornets season comes to an end at 15-5. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Class D First Round #5 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Argyle Scots March 5 2014

Moriah's Taylor Slattery (10) takes it down the lane and goes up for the uncontested layup. The #5 Moriah Vikings would play the #2 Argyle Scots at the Plattsburgh State Field house in the first round of the New York State Class D Basketball Tournament. The Vikings would jump out quickly and have a 14-4 lead after the 1st quarter. The second quarter would be more of the same the Vikings win the quarter 14-9 and have a 28-13 lead at halftime. When the teams came back for the second half the Scots would regroup although the third would be a tie at ten giving the Vikings the 38-23 lead into the fourth. In the fourth Scots would do there best to cut into the Vikings lead but a 15-10 quarter would not be enough as the Vikings get the 58-48 win. With the win, the Vikings go to 20-2 and head to the quarterfinals Saturday against Madrid-Waddington at SUNY Canton. Gallery

The Vikings would win the second 13-12 and have the 25-16 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the third it would be the same as the Vikings win the quarter 11-8 and have 36-24. The Eagles would do there best to keep it close they won the quarter 13-12 although the Vikings would win the game 48-37. In the winning effort, Adam Jaquish would lead the way with 12 points as the Vikings advance to New York State Playoffs. Gallery

The #1 Seton Catholic Knights would play the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels in the Section VII Championship at SUNY Plattsburgh. The Sentinels would have a slight 11-7 lead after the first. The Knights would win the second quarter 13-10 and cut into the lead at 21-20 Sentinels at the half. The Knights would make a good run in the third and win the quarter 16-8 and take the 36-29 lead headed into the fourth. In the fourth, the Sentinels would try and keep it close but the Knights would win the quarter 15-12 and win the game 51-41. In the winning effort, Adam Tedford would lead the way with 20 points as the Seton Catholic Knights advance to the New York State Playoffs. Gallery

Ausable Valley's Austin Facteau (21) would slide in with underhand layup off the window. The #1 Plattsburgh Hornets would play the #2 Ausable Valley Patriots at SUNY Plattsburgh. The Hornets would jump out to a big lead at 25-6 lead after one. The Patriots would battle back in the second and win the quarter 19-10 the Hornets would still lead 35-25 at the break. In the third the Patriots would keep fighting back and win the quarter 19-11 and cut into the deficit at 45-44. In the fourth fatigue would set in on the Patriots as the Hornets win the quarter 20-12 and secure the 66-56 win. In the winning effort Garrett Fardy would lead the way with 30 points as the Hornets advance to the New York State Playoffs. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Basketball Class D 1st Round #4 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #13 Clifton-Fine Eagles February 12 2014

Chateaugay's Seth Young (3) lays it off the window for the score to lead the team with 10 points. The #4 Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the #13 Clifton-Fine Eagles in the First Round of the Section X Class D Tournament. The Bulldogs would step on the gas early and not look back with a 34-9 lead after one. In the second quarter, they would start to let up and win the quarter 10-8 to take a 44-17 lead at the break. The Eagles would actually win the third quarter 11-8 but the Bulldogs still had a 52-28 lead. Then in the last quarter, the Bulldogs would put on the final touches with a 10-7 quarter for the 62-35 win. With the win, Seth Young would lead the way with 10 points as the Bulldogs advance to the Quarterfinals against Edwards-Knox as they go to 13-6 on the season. Gallery.

Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Basketball Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Tupper Lake Lumberjacks February 4 2014

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Section X East Division this would also be Senior Night as the Bulldogs would play there last home game of the season. The Bulldogs would jump out to the quick 16-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would keep their foot down and win the quarter 16-10 and take the 32-19 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the Lumberjacks would do there best to keep it close and win the quarter 13-12 although the Bulldogs would still lead 44-32. In the fourth quarter, the teams would tie at 20 although that would be good enough for the Bulldogs to get the 64-52 win. In the winning effort, Tyler Jones would lead the way with 22 points as the Bulldogs go to 11-6 on the season. Gallery
