It would be week four of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football league and the match would feature Air It Out and Rand Hill Painters. It would be a close game throughout and Air it Out would take a 20-13 lead into the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same and the teams would tie at 20 for the half giving Air It Out the 40-33 victory. Plattsburgh State's Ross Sloan (26) with the hard check along the end boards as they battle for the puck. It would be a battle of North Country rivals with extra on the line as they both came in undefeated and ranked in the top 15. As #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #12 Potsdam State Bears. The Cardinals get the quick 1-0 leas as Nick Belger would score on the power play at 4:04 of the first. The Cardinals would extend it to 2-0 on Cole Stallard's power-play goal at 6:05. The in the last minute of the period the Cardinals would strike twice in seven seconds with goals from Dillan Fox and Kevin Emmerling to take a 4-0 lead after one. When the teams came out for the second period the Cardinals would score again at the 4:17 mark to make it 5-0 on Cole Stallard's second goal of the night. Then just over a minute, later the Bears would finally get on the board to make it 5-1 and that's where the game would stay until the third period. In the third period, the Cardinals would get two more goals to put the icing on the cake from Cole Stallard's (hat trick goal) and Ayrton Valente to secure the 7-1 victory. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would make 21 saves as the Cardinals go to 6-0 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Clarkson Golden Knights November 17 2015

Plattsburgh's Xavier Thomas (0) with the fade away as he hangs in the air to avoid the contact. It would be the opening game of the season for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and they would take on North Country for Clarkson Golden Knights. The Cardinals would take there time getting going in the first half as the Golden Knights would work there a way to a ten-point lead in the first five minutes. Then the Cardinals would find their stride and work it to a ten-point lead at the break at 44-34. Then in the second half, the Cardinals would keep there game going and win the half 39-33 and cruise to the 83-67 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals start the season at 1-0 and Edward Correra would lead the way with 15 points. Gallery

It would be the quarterfinals of the New York State Class D Volleyball and would feature the Chateaugay Bulldogs from section X and the Mayfield Panthers from section II. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead by winning the opening the set. Although the Panthers would come back with a fury and win the next three games and win the match 3-1. With the loss the Bulldogs season would come to end short of there goal but still had a great season. Gallery

Section VII Class C Championship: #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #2 Au Sable Valley Patriots October 31 2015

Au Sable Valley's Brandon Snow (12) with the shoulder tackle and wrap up to bring down Saranac Lake's Drew Sturgeon (12). It would be the Saranac Lake Red Storm and the Au Sable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class Championships. The Red Storm would get the early lead in the first quarter at 7-0. Then in the second quarter, they would extend the lead to 13-0. Although when the teams would come back the Patriots would make there present know as they would score in the third to make it 13-7. Then midway through the fourth quarter, they would tie the game up at 13. Then with under two minutes remaining the Patriots would score the eventual game-winning touchdown to secure the 20-13 victory. With the Patriots move on the New York State Playoffs where they will get the Gouvenour Wildcats in the first round. Gallery

Section VII Class B Championship #1 Peru Indians Vs #2 Beekmantown Eagles October 31 2015

Beekmantown's Alex Archer (3) and Jacob LaFountain stand up Peru running back for the stop. It would be arch-rivals the Peru Indians and the Beekmantown meeting up for yet another Section VII Class C Championship. There would be no scoring until Beekmantown's Alex Archer (3) would get an 8-yard touchdown at 3:19 of the second to make it 7-0 eagles. The Eagles would extend there lead to 14-0 when Alex Archer would score another rushing touchdown. Then in the final minute of the half the Eagles would break the game open a 50 yard run by Tyler Myers (2) to make it 21-0 at the break. Then in the first two minutes of the second half, the Eagles would extend the lead to 27-0 on pick 6. Then in the closing minutes of the third quarter, the Indians would get on the broad with a Dakota Arquette run to make it 27-7 after three. Then in the opening minute of the fourth, the Eagles would extend the lead to 34-7 on another running score. The Indians thought would come right back down and score on another Dakota Arquette running touchdown. Although the Eagles would answer back with Tyler Myer's second 50-yard rushing touchdown to make it 40-13. Then to put the icing on the cake the Eagles would get one more score to secure the 47-13 victory. With the win the Beekmantown Eagles advance to the New York State Playoffs and will face the Malone Huskies in the first round. Gallery

The matchup would feature the #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs and the #4 Brushton-Moria Panthers. It would be a matchup that the Bulldogs would be in complete control of and get the straight set victory (24-13, 24-6, 24-16). With the win the Chateaugay Bulldogs move to the championship and will face off with the Potsdam Sandstoners as they go for the title. Gallery

It would be the last regular-season home game for the Bulldogs who would honor there six seniors before the game. It would be a match that Chateaugay Bulldogs would be in complete control from start to finish winning the match in just over thirty minutes in straight sets 25-14, 25-4, 25-16. With the win, the Bulldogs go to 13-2 on the season while the Panthers fall to 3-12. Gallery

The #1 Plattsburgh North Stars would host the #2 Watertown Red Black in the empire football league championship for the third time in five years. The game would be played in a steady rain throughout the night. The Plattsburgh North Stars would get the lone score of the game on Jamil McCray's rushing touchdown. With the lone score of the game, the North Stars would get the 6-0 victory with the help of there shutdown defense. The win would give the Northstars the second championship Empire Football League Championship in three years. Gallery

The Bulldogs would go 5-7 on the day and finish in 6th place overall. The big winner on the day and be crowned the 2015 Saranac Tournament champions would be the Massena Red Raiders. Gallery
