The game would be a tight one throughout as CR Tunes would have the 20-18 lead at the break. In the second half, it would be more of the same as CR Tunes would win the half 18-14 thanks to a last-minute touchdown by Jasmine Barnard for the 38-32 victory. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in a taking the 1-0 lead at the three minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there til 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29 the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power play goal to make it 7-2. Then to close out the period at the 16:59 mark the Cardinals would make it 3-0 on Michael Cassidy's goal. Then just seven seconds into the second period the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Kyle Hall's shorthanded goal. Then at the 2:19 mark of the second period, Patrick Hermans would make it 5-0. The Red Dragons would have the slim 41-37 lead-in after the first. In the second half, the Cardinals would make up the difference winning the half 47-43 to force overtime tied at 84. In the overtime, the Red Dragons would hit a 2 pointer with 2.4 seconds left to win it 94-92. Then the Cardinals would get on the board at 12:21 mark of the third period on Mark Constantine's goal to make it 2-1 to make it a game down the stretch. Then with under 5 minutes left in the game Lakers' Bobby Gretsakis would score on the power play to put the game away for the Lakers at 3-1. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet with the Colton-Pierpont Colts in Section X East Division action. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start and take the 16-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would trade basket and tie at 12 although they would have 28-17 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be a defense quarter with the Bulldogs winning it 9-5 to take a 37-22 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would win the quarter 11-3 and get the 48-25 victory. The game would stay there till the 6-minute mark of the second period when Hornet's Devin Clarke would score to make it 1-1. The Huskies would regain the lead at 2-1 on Evan Keegan's goal at 12:59 of the second period. Then at 2:57 of the third period Huskies, Kyler Head would make it 3-1 with a shorthanded goal. Then at the 8:42 mark of the third, the Hornet's would do there best to get back in the game with a power-play goal by Andrew Bechard to make it 3-2.
