The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in doubleheader east division action. The Bulldogs would make easy work of the Panthers in the opening game as they would take the 22-9 victory. Then when the teams would return for the second game the Panthers would give them a better fight although the Bulldogs would still get the 9-2 victory. With the wins the Bulldogs will secure a first-round home game as they go to 11-4 on the season. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would strike out four. Gallery

Chateaugay's Nick Ashline (6) slides in safe at the plate under the tag for the score. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in east division doubleheader action. In-game one the Bulldogs would fall just short by a score of 6-5 thanks to some untimely errors down the stretch. In the second game though they would pull things together and get a convincing 11-4 wins thanks to great pitching from Garett Labare and Nick Ashline. With the split, the Bulldogs go to 5-8 on the season as they continue there to push for one of the last two playoff spots. Gallery

Beekmantown's Devin Fessette (4) slides in safe under a leaping Saranac Lake short shop at second on steal of second base. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Senior Day in a CVAC Division 1 clash. The Red Storm were looking to spoil the seniors last game as they jump out to the 1-0 lead after the first inning. That is where the game would remain until the third inning when the Eagles would get two to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the fourth inning, the Eagles would start to take command as they would score times to take the comfortable 7-2 lead as the Red Storm would get one at the top of the inning. The teams would trade runs in the fifth to make the score 8-3. Then in the sixth, the Eagles would add one more to end the scoring and secure the 9-3 victory. Austin Bradish would go five innings strike of two and give up four hits in the winning effort. Talking to Coach Bell after the game he would like to thank all the seniors for years of commitment to the program and wish them the best of luck in the future. With the win, the Eagles go to 15-3 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Courtney Boyea (5) slides in safe at third base as the ball gets away from St. Regis Falls Gardner (4). The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in a doubleheader of softball action inside the eastern division. In the first game, the Bulldogs would get off to a quick start and get seven runs to take the 7-0 lead. Then in the second, they would come back with five more runs to extend the lead to 12-0. Then they would add two more in the third to make it 14-0. Then they would end the slaughter in the fourth with five more runs to secure the 19-0 win. When the teams would return for the second game it would start with both teams trading runs in the first to make it 1-1. They would do it again in the third inning to make it 2-2. In the fourth inning, the Bulldogs would get four runs while the Saints get one to make it 6-3 bulldogs. In the fifth inning, the Saints would do there best to get back in it but they would fall short at 6-5. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would pitch 6 innings and strike out six. With the two wins, the Bulldogs go to 8-4 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay Garett Holmes (8) slides in safe under the tag of the St. Regis Falls pitcher at the plate. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division doubleheader action. In the first game, the teams would each get three to have it tied at 3. The Bulldogs would get a single run in the fourth to make it 4-3 Bulldogs. Then in the fourth, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 6-3. In the fifth, the Saints would do there best to make a comeback it would fall short though as they would make it 6-5 Bulldogs take game one. In the second game, the Saints would get out to the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second inning, the Saints would get four while the Bulldogs would get one to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 5-3. Then in the fourth, the comeback would be complete as they would get four more to take the 7-5 lead. Then in the fifth, they would get three more while the Saints could just mustard one as the Bulldogs would get the 10-6 win. With the win, it would give the Bulldogs a sweep on the day and give them a 4-6 record on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Greg Manney (7) with the fastball to the inside corner for strikeout as part a three strikeout three-hit day. The Saranac Chiefs would host rival Beekmantown Eagles in Section 7 baseball action. The game would remain scoreless until the third when the Eagles would add a run on Justin Stevens RBI single. The Eagles would get a second run in the fourth on Alex Price RBI single to make it 2-0. Then in the fifth the Eagles would explode with eleven runs thanks to some untimely errors by the Chiefs. The too big blows in the inning would be from Quenton Barber and Brandon Buska each having 2 RBI singles. That would ended it as the Eagles would end up getting the easy 13-0 win. In the winning effort, Greg Manney would go six strong innings and would give up three hits and strike out three. Gallery

Chateaugay's Zach Cowan (9) with the backhanded stop on the hard-hit ball down the line. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in a east division tilt. The Yellow Jackets would get off to a quick start as they would get three in the first and not look back. With the quick 3-0 start, the Yellow Jackets would keep it up and cruise to the 14-0 win. The Bulldogs would hampered by untimely errors and unable to get anything going offensively. With the lose the Bulldogs fall to 2-6 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay Rachel Young (3) in full extension on the whined up as she would come into get two perfect innings to finish off game two. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow in a doubleheader of east division action. The Bulldogs would score there runs in bunches in both games. In-game 1 they would get four in the first inning to make it 4-0. The Yellow Jackets would get one back to make it 4-1. That is where the game would remain until the fourth inning when the Bulldogs would get five more to secure the 9-1 win. In the win of game one, Abby Barnes would lead the offense going 2-3 with 3 RBI's Courtney Boyea would go the distance on the mound in the win striking out six. In-game two it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would get three in the first to make it 3-0. They would add another three in the second to make it 6-0 Bulldogs. The Yellow Jackets would get on the broad in the fourth to make it 6-1. Leading the offense in game two would be Rachel Young as she would go 1-2 with 2 RBI's. On the mound, Courtney Boyea and Rachel Young would combine to strike out three and give up one run on one hit. With the sweep, the Bulldogs improve to 6-4 on the season. Gallery

Peabody's Matt Orsmby (13) with the diving catch in center field to end the innings and rob the Miners. The 2013 edition of the Champlain Valley Baseball League would get underway with a rematch of the championship from 2012 as the Peabody's Padres would host the Lyon Mountain Miners. In-game 1 of the doubleheader, the Padres would take a 2-0 lead in the first. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Miners would come back and get 1 in the second. Then in the third and fourth the Miners would get 12 more runs thanks to some untimely errors by the Padres and game would be called after 5 at 13-3. Game two would be a lot more competitive game as the Padres would have a 5-3 lead entering the six and the Miners would get 1 run in the 6th and 7th to force extra innings tied at 5-5. Then on the 8th, the Miners would get three runs to secure the 8-5 victory. With the result of the opening week, the Miners are 2-0 while the Padres are 0-2. Gallery

Chateaugay's Abby Barnes (12) with the outstretched catch in foul territory. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers in a unusual doubleheader. As they would play a normal game and then finish a suspended game from a few weeks go. In the first game, the Flyers get off to the quick 2-0 lead in the first. The Bulldogs would get a run back in the second to get back within one at 2-1. Then in the third the Bulldogs would get four and the flyers would get 1 to make it 5-3 Bulldogs and from there on the Bulldogs would not let as they would cruise to 15-7 victory. Then the teams would pick up the suspended game in the fifth with the score 6-5 Bulldogs. The teams would trade runs in the sixth to make it 7-6. Then the seventh the Bulldogs defense would let them down as they would have two pass balls in the seventh allowing the Flyers to get two runs and win 8-7. As the Bulldogs would split the doubleheader there record would go to 3-4 on the season. Gallery
