Plattsburgh's Krys Ross (14) steps in front of the Glens Falls wide receiver for the interception along the sidelines. The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls to take on the Greenjackets. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Glens Falls Greenjackets 34-22 to keep control of the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would get off to a quick start when Krys Ross would nearly run back the openning kickoff but the North Stars would score on the next play to take the lead. The teams would play equal for the rest of the half and the North Stars would actually trail 22-20 at the break. In the second half, the North Stars defense would clamp down and not allow a score and the North Stars would get the 34-22 win. With the win, the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league as Monroe County comes in Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

Jacob Curtis and his John Deere 4630 carries the front wheels as he angles over the near side of the track as he finishes second in the 11,500lb Hot Farm Tractors. The annual truck and tractor pull to return to the Hopkinton Fire Department in Hopkinton. This pull just seems to keep getting bigger year after year. There would be around 50 competitors divided up in 14 classes that would take to the hard clay track that would take all the horsepower you could throw at it. Pat Silver and Ma's and Pa's Headache finds some good track on the far side of the track for the third-place finish in the 6,200lb Pro Stock 4x4 Class A. The annual truck and tractor pull would return to Clinton County Fair the would be great action from all the division. The track and the heat would take its toll on a few vehicles throughout the day. Thomas Brassard and his 2012 Dodge Ram take it down the far side of the track for a 180'. The annual Street Truck Pull would return to the Clinton County Fair. There would be over 60 entries divided up into eight classes. It would be a great night had by everyone there would be some great action and there was only a few broken trucks. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Zack Meyers (27) slides in head first at the plate and scores as the Athletics catcher loses the ball. The Airborne Speedway Padres would defeat Fourth Ward Athletics 10-2. The game would start at Saranac High School where they played the top of the first. Then the rains would come and cause an hour-long rain delay. Where the field was determined to be unplayable so the game was moved to South Acres in Plattsburgh. The game would remain close through the opening six with Padres getting singles runs in the 2nd, 4th and 5th and Athletics would get one in the third to make it 3-1. Then in late innings, the Padres bats would come alive getting 7 runs in the last three innings with the big blow coming from Joey Painter's three-run homer. With the win Padres advance to Semi-Finals where they will play either the Expos or Miners.

The big pair of workhorses are taking the 6,200lb sled out the end for a full pull. The Lyon Mountain American Legion would host the second annual Howie Frenyea Memorial. There would great horse pulling action throughout the day. There would be 15 teams of miniature pony's along with 6 teams of a big workhorse. The team would come from across new york, Vermont, and New Hampshire to compete for trophies. Gallery

Malone's Austin LaMay (1) makes solid connect on the elevated fastball for the base hit. Malone would win the game via forfeit due to Norwood lacking players. The two teams would play the game anyways though. In that game, Brian Dufrane would go the distance for Malone while striking out six. With the win, Malone goes to 5-3 on the season. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Matt Rivers (88) gives the pitch everything he has for the strike. The Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs would defeat the Airborne Speedway Padres 14-5. The game would start off well for the Padres as they would take the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second, they would get four more on a grand slam from Mark Eggleston to take the 5-0 lead. From there on out the Timberjaxxs would get fourteen unanswered runs. The big dagger in the heart would come in the third when they would score nine runs as the Padres pitches were having problems located the plate. With the win the Timberjaxxs finish the season at 4-11 and as the Padres go to 7-8. Gallery

Fourth Ward's Jake Tolosky (17) picks the grounder and tags first for the out. The Lyon Mountain Miners would defeat the Fourth Ward Athletics 4-2. The Miners would jump out to the early 2-0 lead in the first. That is where the score would remain until the Athletics would tie up at two in the fifth. Then in the sixth Kris Chase would get the game-winning hit. With the Miners finish the season at 10-5 and get a share of the regular season crown while the Athletics finish at 5-10. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars would start there season with many new faces and old faces in new places. As the game started you could see the changes were affecting their execution with many penalities. Although they would get it figured out and start to click. The first score of the game would come on a beautiful catch by Kevin Gibson that he would take the endzone for the lead early. Harry Rascoe would have to more touchdown passes on the day in the win.
