Adams would take the early 1-0 lead in the first on a passed ball. Adams would extend the lead to 2-0 on a base hit in the second. That is where the score would remain until the fourth when Malone would get a run to make it 2-1. Then in the fifth inning, the Malone would take the lead and pull ahead with a six-run inning thanks in part to a three-run homer by Alex Johnson to make it 7-2. Adam's would try and get back into in the sixth as they would cut the lead in half by getting two to make it 7-4. Malone would get one at the bottom of the inning to secure the 8-4 win. Malone's Chad Rottier (10) connects on the fastball for the base hit. The Clinton County Mariners would defeat Malone Post 219 14-4 in 5 innings. Clinton County would take the early lead 4-0 after the first and not look back from there. Then in the second inning, they would trade three runs as Malone trade to stay in the game at 7-3. The Mariners would add three more in the third and four in the fourth for 14-4 victory. In the winning effort, Logan Recore would go the distance striking out four and giving four hits and four runs. Malone's Brandon Mulverhill (42) slides in safe at second base with the double. The Malone Post 219 would fall to the Hudson Valley Renegades 6-4 in the opening game of the Mehan/Turner Tournament. The Renegades would take the 1-0 lead in the first and then in second Malone would tie it up at 1. The game would remain there until the Renegades would get four in the fifth to take the 5-1 lead. Malone would answer back with two in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-3. Then in the sixth the teams would trade runs to make it 6-4.
