Peabody's Shane Perrotte (2) slides under the tag at home plate to extend there lead. It would be a mid-week battle between the Peabody Padres and Adam's Glass Dodgers at the Lefty Wilson field. The Padres would jump out to the quick 1-0 lead after the first inning. They would another run in the third inning to make it 2-0. Then in the fourth inning, the Dodgers would get on the board but the Padres would two more runs to make it 4-1. Then in the sixth, both teams would score again the Dodgers would get another single run while the Padres would add three and make it 7-2. Peabody's Shane Perrotte (2) slides in safe at the plate a head of the tag of the dodgers catcher for the game-winning run. We would have a mid-week game in Champlain Valley Baseball League action to start week four of the season between the Peabody Padres and Adam's Glass Dodgers. The Dodgers would get the early lead 1-0 after the first inning. They would add a pair of runs in the second to make it a 3-0 lead. At the bottom of the third, the Padres would get on the board to make it 3-1. Then in the fourth, the Padres would have a big inning plating four runs to take the 5-3 lead. Then in the fifth the Dodgers would get one to make it 5-4 game. Then in the sixth, they would get two runs to regain the 6-5 lead. Then in the bottom of the seventh, the padres would get two including the game-winning head first slide by Shane Perrotte at the plate to get the 7-6 victory. Cardinals Ben Weightman (23) would slide in under the tag of Timberjaxxs Jeremy Barber (21) at the plate on a passed ball. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Timberjaxxs would take a quick 3-0 lead over the first two innings with a pair in the first and a single in the second. The Cardinals would get on the board with a single run in the fourth inning to make it 3-1. Then would come the game-changer what was thought nothing major at the time a two-strike one out missed check swing that was missed gave the Cardinals new life and would score four runs after that missed call and would end up giving them a 5-3 victory. With the victory, the Cardinals would advance to the championship against the Meron's Expos. Gallery

The Peabody Padres and Adam's Glass Dodgers would meet in a midweek contest as the makeup of rain from earlier in the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The Padres would take the 1-0 lead in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Donny Coolidge scoring Matt Hart. The Dodgers would come back in the third with a pair of runs on Kyle McCarthy's 2 RBI double. The game would stay there till the sixth inning when the Padres would tie the game up at two on a Matt Orsmby base hit. The game would go to extra innings and in the eighth inning, Frank Brogna would hit a single to knock home Matt Hart and win the game for the Padres In the winning effort Kalob Drollette would go all 8 innings giving up 2 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9 as the Padres go to 9-4 on the season. In week two action of the Champlain Valley Baseball League as the Peabody Padres would host the new Adam's Glass Dodgers in doubleheader action in the first game Adam's Glass Dodgers would get the 6-2 victory in extra innings with the big inning coming in the ninth when they would open up for four runs. In the second game of the doubleheader, it would be another low scoring pitchers duel as the Padres would get the 5-1 win thanks to a three-run fifth inning. With that being said the teams would get a split on the day and the Padres would start there season at 1-1 while Adam's Glass would go to 2-2 on the season.
