The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take on the St. Michaels Purple Knights in non conference double header attention. The Cardinals would break out of there slump and the offense would come alive. As the Cardinals would get a sweep on the day as they win the games 12-3 and 8-5. The Cardinals return to play Friday as they travel to Fredonia for three games as part of weekend series to close out SUNYAC play. Gallery

It would be the opening game of the Alex Turner Memorial Tournament for both the Clinton County (JR) Mariners and the Champlain Cougars. The game would remain scoreless until the 4th inning when the Mariners would score on error throw first to make it 1-0. The game would stay there til the 6th inning when the Mariners would explode for 4 runs to expand there lead to 5-0. The Cougars wouldn't go quietly though as they would load the bases in the seventh inning and get a run to bust up the shutout. Although the Mariners would hold on for the 5-1 victory and go to 1-0 in the tournament and 14-2 overall. Gallery

Malone's Adam Martin (3) slides in safe at third base as he advances on the passed ball. The Malone Post 219 host Adams Glass in non-league at the Airport Field. Adams would take the early 1-0 lead in the first on a passed ball. Adams would extend the lead to 2-0 on a base hit in the second. That is where the score would remain until the fourth when Malone would get a run to make it 2-1. Then in the fifth inning, the Malone would take the lead and pull ahead with a six-run inning thanks in part to a three-run homer by Alex Johnson to make it 7-2. Adam's would try and get back into in the sixth as they would cut the lead in half by getting two to make it 7-4. Malone would get one at the bottom of the inning to secure the 8-4 win. Clinton County would take the early lead 4-0 after the first and not look back from there. Then in the second inning, they would trade three runs as Malone trade to stay in the game at 7-3. The Mariners would add three more in the third and four in the fourth for 14-4 victory. In the winning effort, Logan Recore would go the distance striking out four and giving four hits and four runs.
