The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow north country foe the Canton Kangaroos in nonconference action from the fieldhouse complex as they are in the middle of an early season homestand. The game would be tight through the first quarter as both teams were feeling each other out and the game would be tied at three at the end of the first scoring for the Cardinals would be Cam Morin, and Donald Woods (twice). In the second quarter, the home Cardinals would start to pull away as they would have a 5-2 quarter on goals from John Eiseman (twice), Anthony Faber, Cam Morin (second of the afternoon), and Logan Jones as the Cardinals would have an 8-5 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cardinals would stay hot and start to take control of the game with another 5-2 quarter on goals from Tim Keenan (twice), Donald Woods (third of the game), John Eiseman (third and fourth of the game), as they take the 13-7 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would take control and put the icing on the cake with an 8-1 quarter on scoring from Logan Jones (second and third of the game), Kyle Ruland, Austin Mesler (second of the game), Cam Morin (third and fourth of the game), Jimbo Farrelly, Spencer Fucheck and Ely Bruhns as the Cardinals secure the 21-8 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals Donald Woods would lead the way with three goals and four assists on the day while Dan Clements would make 6 saves in the win. As for the Kangaroos Austin Mesler would lead the way with six goals on the day. The Cardinals will end their homestand on Friday as they will host Russell Sage. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Willard Anderson (4) crashes into the defender and lays the ball off the window for the score. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get their home portion of their season open tonight as they would take on the Cobleskill State Tigers in nonleague action. The game would not start off well for the home Cardinals as the Tigers would jump out to a 37-23 lead by the end of the half. Then in the second half, they would. With eight minutes left in the game, the Tigers would have a 13-point lead and look like they would have the game in hand but the Cardinals would come charging back on a 28-12 run and get the 73-69 victory. With the win the Cardinals would get their first win of the season and go to 1-3 and Kevin Tabb would lead the way seventeen points. The Cardinals will return to the hardwood on November 26th as they travel to take on the Lyndon State Hornets. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get their home portion of their season open tonight as they would take on the Cobleskill State Tigers in nonleague action. The game would not start off well for the home Cardinals as the Tigers would jump out to a 37-23 lead by the end of the half. Then in the second half, they would. With eight minutes left in the game, the Tigers would have a 13-point lead and look like they would have the game in hand but the Cardinals would come charging back on a 28-12 run and get the 73-69 victory. With the win the Cardinals would get their first win of the season and go to 1-3 and Kevin Tabb would lead the way seventeen points. Brockport State's Owen Vanwie (4) with the shot on net for one of his three goals on the day. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles in SUNYAC Lacrosse action. The game would not start off good for the home Cardinals as they would be down 3-0 after the first quarter on goals from Owen VanWie, Rocco Santillo, and Jhovanny Olivares. In the second quarter, the Cardinal's luck would not be much better as the Eagles would win the quarter 5-1 and take an 8-1 lead into the locker room on goals from Owen VanWie (second) Nelson Logan, Rocco Santillo (second and third), and Carson Colucci while getting the lone goal for the Cardinals would be Owen Lorenzetti. When the teams came back for the second half the Cardinals still wouldn't have any luck as they got outscored 5-0 on Rocco Santillo (fourth), Ethan Stiles (second), and Owen Vanwie (third), Carson Colucci (second) and Ryan McCarthy. In the losing effort, Christian Bassi would make 13 saves as they fall to 3-10 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Stephen Kane (11) takes the hard-hit from the Lakers defender as he charged to the net. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home after a few weeks away and play the rival Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC action. The game would not start off good for the Cardinals as the Lakers would shut them out in the first quarter with a 6-0 quarter on the strength of a pair of goals by Corey O'Connor. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would get on the board but the Lakers would win the quarter 5-3 with Cardinal goals by Stephen Kane (twice) and John Eiseman but would trail at the break 11-3. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Lakers would stay on top with a 5-2 quarter with John Eiseman (second and third of the night) and the Cardinals would trail 16-5 as they go to the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Cardinals still had no with a lakers 3-2 quarter scoring for the Cardinals again would be Kane and Eiseman. Although it would not be enough on this day as the Cardinals fall to 2-7 on the season and will be back in action on April 5th as they take on #15 St. Lawerence. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Kyle Cremin (20) with the backhanded stop and flip to second for the out, The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up their home portion of their schedule with a non-conference doubleheader against the Canton Kangaroos at Chip Cummings Field. The first game would start off slow as there would be no scoring til the 4th inning when the Kangaroos would get on the board with a home run by Miner for the 1-0 lead. Although the Cardinals would answer back in the bottom, of the inning with a 6 run explosion highlighted by a two rbi triple by Lent for the 6-1 game. Although Canton would work their way back into the game with a three-run fifth inning. But in the bottom of the inning, the Cardinals would take control of the game with a nine-run inning highlighted by a three rbi double by Messersch and a 15-4 lead. Then in the sixth inning, the Cardinals would get three more runs thanks to some Canton errors but an 18-4 lead. In the seventh, the Cardinals would get another four runs to expand the lead to 22-4 highlighted by a pair of rbi singles by Cremin and Digiovanni. The scoring would stop in the eighth innings as the teams would each get 1 run as the Cardinals secure the 23-5 win and go to 7-6 on the season. After a 20 minute break, it would be time for game two of the doubleheader and in the third inning, the Cardinals would get the 1-0 lead on the Geraci hit by a pitch that brought the run-in. In the fourth inning, the Cardinals would expand their lead to 2-0 on the Lent sacrifice fly. In the top of the fifth, the Kangaroos would get on the board with a two rbi single by Kapfer and tie the game. The game would stay there till the sixth when the Cardinals take the lead back at 3-2 on an error. Although the Kangaroos would tie the game again in the top of the seventh on a rbi single by Kapfer. In the bottom of the seventh, the Cardinals would win the game on the walk-off walk for the 4-3 win and secure the sweep, and go to 8-6 on the season. Gallery.

When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals firepower would be there as they would have a 7-1 quarter on goals from Stephen Kane (a third of the night), Andrew Braverman, Matt Trypaluk (second of the night), John Eiseman (a third of the game), Logan Vilardi, Gustav Rugg and Zach Gill (second of the game) and take a controlling 15-3 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the teams would tie with three goals each, and scoring for the Cardinals would be Michael Swift (second of the night), Stephen Kane (fourth and fifth of the game) as the Cardinals get the 18-6 win. Cobleskill Tigers @ Potsdam State Bears November 13th 2021 Women's NCAA Women's Basketball Cardinal Classic Day #2

Potsdam State's Mandy Barnell (25) with the offensive rebound under the basket. It would be the first game of the second day of the Cardinal Classic and would feature the Potsdam State Bears and the Cobleskill Tigers. The game would start well for the Bears as they jump out to the 15-10 lead. In the second quarter, the Tigers would fight back and take the slim 24-23 lead at the half with a 14-8 quarter. When the teams came back for the second half the Tigers would stay hot as they would extend their lead to 44-38 with a 20-15 quarter. Although in the fourth quarter the Bears would catch fire with a 23-11 quarter and pull out the win at the end with a 61-55 win. In the winning effort, Xyel Bradford would lead the way with 11 points as the Bears go to 2-1 on the season. Gallery
