It would be day 2 of the Cardinal Classic Women's Basketball Tournament and it would be a matchup for the title between Bates College from the NESCAC and the Potsdam State Bears of the SUNYAC after they both won yesterday. The Bobcats would be off and running in the first quarter and their defense would keep the Bears in check as the Bobcats would have the 14-3 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would be more evenly matched as the Bobcats would only win the quarter 14-12 but the Bears would be behind 28-15 at the half. When the teams returned for the second half the teams would stay evenly matched but the Bears would be unable to do anything with the deficit as the Bobcats would win the quarter 15-14 and have a 43-31 lead as they enter the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats would finish off the Bears with a 15-6 quarter and the Bobcats would get 58-35 the win. In the winning effort, Morgan Kennedy would lead the way with 22 points as they go to 3-0 on the season and the Potsdam State Bears fall to 2-1 on the season. Gallery

It would be the last game before the winter break for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would host long-time competitor the Middlebury Panthers. The game would start off close but the Cardinals would be behind by a score of 20-13. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would do their best to keep the game close but the Panthers would win the quarter 21-17 and have a 41-30 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Cardinals would stay in the fight but the Panthers would pull away by a little more with a 22-16 quarter and the Panthers would lead 63-46 heading into the fourth. Once again in the fourth, the Cardinals would stay close but the Panthers win by a slim 18-14 to give the Cardinals the 81-60 lose. In the losing effort, Mya Smith would lead the Cardinals with 24 points as they fall to 3-6 on the season while Alexa Mustafa. would lead the Panthers to the win with 24 points. Gallery

The game would start off slow as the defenses would be on their game as the Cadets would have the low 14-10 lead after the first quarter. When the teams came back for the third quarter so did the Cardinals offense as they would explode for a 29-6 quarter and take a 49-25 lead. In the fourth quarter, they would just let it ride and win the quarter 20-19 and secure the 69-44 win. When the teams returned for the second half the Panthers would run away with it and win the third quarter 22-7 and have a 45-34 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would fight hard to stay in the game and win the quarter 20-14 although it would not be enough as the Cardinals would fall 59-54.
