SUNYAC Men's Hockey Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Morrisville State Mustangs January 20th 2017
Plattsburgh State's Jakob Engvall (2) with the crunching hit along the boards on the Morrisville State defender. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs in SUNYAC play. The Mustangs would take the early lead at 1-0 at 8:27 of the first period. In the second period the Cardinals offense would come alive and score three goals from Cole Stallard and Cam Owens twice and the Mustangs would add one as the Cardinals lead 3-2 after the second period. In the third period, the teams would combine for seven goals getting the goals for the Cardinals are Ayrton Valente, Kyle Hall (twice), Joe Drabin as the Cardinals would hold on for the 7-5 victory. #4 Oswego State Lakers @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals SUNYAC's Men's Hockey December 9th 2018
Plattsburgh State's Noah Batis (17) takes the shot on net from a knee. It would be a rivalry game of the season as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #4 Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC play. The Lakers would get the opening goal of the game at 8:20 of the first period from Michael Gillespie. The game would stay there until the 7:48 mark of the second period when the Lakers would score on the power play thanks to Mitch Emerson to make it 2-0. Then at the 15:38 mark, the Lakers would score twice in 23 seconds from Joseph Molinaro and Mitch Herlihey to make it 4-0. The Lakers would add another one at 3:44 of the third period to make it 5-0 from Cameron Berry. Then the Cardinals would do there best to make a game of it as Phillip Middleton would make it 5-1 at 9:18 of the third period. Then at 13:13 Jesse Neher would strike to make it a 5-2 game. As that would be all as the Oswego State Lakers would hold on for the 5-2 victory. In the losing effort Jimmy Poreda would make 29 saves as the Cardinals fall to 5-7 on the season. Gallery

It would be the Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC action. In a very physical game, the Red Dragons would get the opening goal of the contest with 3 seconds left in the first period from Alex Storjohann. The game would stay there till 8:34 of the second period when Phillip Middleton would tie up on the rebound goal. The Cardinals would take the lead 22 seconds into the third period on the Cam Owens goal. The Cardinals would add another goal at 16:12 from Mike Falanga to make it a 3-1 game. Plattsburgh State's Cam Owens (19) waits for the high puck to come down on the rebound attempt. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the number #3 Geneseo State Knights. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead at 4:28 of the first on Pat Egan's goal. The Knights would answer back at the nine-minute mark to tie the game at 1. Then just 45 seconds into the second period the Knights would take the 2-1 lead. The game would stay there till 6:26 of the third period when the Cardinals would tie it at 2 on Kyle Hall's goal. The Cardinals would regain the lead at the 15-minute mark on Joe Drabin's goal at 3-2. Then just 30 seconds later Ross Sloan would score to extend the lead to 4-2. The Cardinals would finish it off with an empty netter on Pat Egan's second goal of the game as the Cardinals win 5-2. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they advance to the SUNYAC finals. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the number #3 Geneseo State Knights. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead at 4:28 of the first on Pat Egan's goal. The Knights would answer back at the nine-minute mark to tie the game at 1. Plattsburgh State's Pat Egan (16) with the open ice hit to break up the play and get the puck. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would get the first goal of the night at 9L55 of the first when Evan Lindquist would score to make it 1-0. The game would remain there until 7:37 of the second period when Philip Middleton would score to make it 2-0. Then just over two minutes later Cole Stallard would extend the lead to 3-0 on the short-handed goal. Although the Blue Devils would keep fighting and get on the board at 5:51 on the third period to make it 3-1. The Cardinals would hold on from there for the 3-1 victory. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Brady Phaff's goal at 6:44 of the first period. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 in the final minute of the first period on Joe Drabin's goal. The game would stay there till 10:32 of the second period when the Bengals would score to make it 2-1. From then on both teams would fight hard but there would be no more scoring as the Cardinals hold on for the 2-1 victory.
