Mass-Lowell Riverhawks Vs St. Lawrence Saints November 29th 2025
Mass-Lowell's Dylan Bentley (19) drops to a knee as he rifles it past St. Lawrence Colin Winn(31) for the goal that would be the game-winner. It would be the second day of the Adirondack Winter Invitational presented by the Golden Arrow Resort, and we would start with the Consolation Game between the St. Lawrence Saints and the UMass Lowell Riverhawks in front of 1,385 fans at the Herb Brooks Arena. The game would start well for the Riverhawks, as they got the opening goal just 6:33 in from Dillan Bentley to give them the early lead. The Riverhawks would keep it going, extending their lead to 2-0 on Dalyn Wakelly's goal at the 13:39 mark of the 1st. The Saints would keep fighting back and score three goals in four minutes over the last 6 minutes of the first period to take the 3-2 lead into the intermission on goals from Cayden Casey, Rasmus Santilli, and Sam Frandina. The game would stay there until the 11:53 mark of the second period, when the Riverhawks would tie the game at three on Dalyn Wakely's 2nd goal of the evening. With 30 seconds left in the second period, the Riverhawks would regain the lead at 4-3 on the Jay Ahearn goal. The Riverhawks would keep it going early in the third period when Dillian Bently would get his second of the night to give the two goal lead again 5-3 at the 3:22 mark of the period. Then, at the 13:13 mark of the third period, the Riverhawks would make it 6-3 on one Chris Delaney goal. Then, with 14 seconds left in the game, Dalyn Wakely would complete his hat trick and cap off a 7-3 win for the Riverhounds, who finished the game with an unanswered goal. In the Riverhawks' winning effort, they will go to 5-8 on the seas. Austin Elliott made 40 saves. Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks Vs St. Lawrence Saints November 28th 2025
Alaska's Lassi Lehti (35) with the glove save as part of 19 save night for the shutot victory. It would be the opening game of the third edition of the Adirondack Winter Invitational from the Herb Brooks Arena, and it would feature the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the St. Lawrence Saints in front of nearly 1100 fans. It would take until the 1:25 mark of the second period for the opening goal of the game, as William Fleet would score for the Nanooks to get them a 1-0 lead in the second period. The first period would be very defensive. The game didn't last long, as the Nanooks made it 2-0 at the 6:40 mark of the period when Michael Citara scored. The game would stay there as the Nanooks earned a 2-0 victory and played for the crown in the Adirondack Winter Invitational tomorrow. In the Nanooks' winning effort, Lassi Lethi made 19 saves for the shutout, as they go to 3-8-1 on the season. As for the Saints, they would fall to 2-12-1, as Colin Winn made 23 saves. The Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks will play the late game tomorrow against the Clarkson Golden Knights, while Stt. Lawrence Saints will play the early game against the Massachusetts River Hawks. Gallery
Adirondack Winter Invitational Day 1: Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks Vs St. Lawrence Saints November 28th 2025

Alaska's Peyton Platter (24) knocks down St. Lawrence's Sam Frandina (16) as they go after the faceoff win the Alaska zone. It would be the opening game of the third edition of the Adirondack Winter Invitional from the Herb Brooks Arena and it would feature the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the St. Lawrence Saints in front off nearly 1100 fans. It would take till the 1:25 of the mark of the second period for the opening goal of the game as William Fleet would score for the Nanooks to get them 1-0 lead at the first period would be very defensive. The game would would not stay there long as the Nanooks would make it a 2-0 game at the 6:40 mark of the period when Michael Citara would score. The game would stay there throughout as the Nanooks wuld get the 2-0 victory and play for the crown in the Adirondack Winter Invitional tomorrow. Adirondack Winter Invitational Day 2: #10 Providence Friars Vs St. Lawrence Saints November 30th 2024

Providence's Zachary Borgiel (29) made the shoulder save on St. Lawrence's Jacob Bernandet (19) to keep the game tied at one at the time of 19, saving the night for the win. It would be the second day of the 2nd Annual Adirondack WinterInvitationall from the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY, and the first matchup of the day would feature the #10 Providence Friars taking on the Saints from St. Lawrence as the Friars would be looking to go perfect on the weekend against the North Country foes in front of 210 fans. The game would start well for the Friars as they would get the opening goal of the game just 3:21 into the contest as Tanner Adams would get his second of the weekend and eight on the season to give them the 1-0 lead, and that would be the only scoring of the first period In the second period,d the Saints would get their first goal of the weekend, and it would come from Tyler Cristall for second of the season as it would tie the game up atone1 just 2:31 into the period and that would be the lone goal of the period, and the teams would enter the third period tied at 1 The Saints would enter the third looking for the upset of number ten in the country, although that would not be happening on this day as the Friars would take the 2-1 lead at the 8:51 mark of the third on the John Mustrd's fourth of the season and that's how the game would end at 2-1 Friars In the winning effort, the Friars Zachry Borgiel would make 19 saves on the night as they go to 10-3-2 in the season As for the Saints, Dominic Basse would make 33 saves in the afternoon as the Saints go to 4-11 in the season, and both teams head back into conference play next season. Adirondack Winter Invitational Day 1: #10 Providence Friars Vs #20 Clarkson Golden Knights November 29th 2024

Clarkson's Jack Sparkes (55) with the crushing hit on Providence's John Mustard (21) that jars the puck loose along the end boards. It would be the second game of the day from the famed Herb Brooks Arena as part of the 2nd annual Adirondack Winter Invitational, and it would feature a matchup inside the top the 20 as the #10 Providence Friars would square off with the #20 Clarkson Golden Knights. The game would start for the Friars as they would waste little time getting the contest's opening goal at the 4:15 mark of the first period on Tanner Adams's seventh goal of the season and take the early 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 13:34 mark of the period when the Friars would score this time on the shorthand from Nick Poisson for his 4th of the season. The Golden Knights would finally get into the scoring act two minutes later when Jared Mangan scored the powerplay for his fourth season, and that's where the first period would end. The game would stay there till the 8:57 mark of the second period when the Golden Knights found the equalizer from Ryan Richardson for his fourth of the season and tied the game. That would be the last of the scoring for regulation, and the next 32 minutes would go without a goal. So the teams would head to the overtime, and for some three-on-three hockey, at the 1:57 mark of the period, Graham Gamache would get the game-winner and his third goal of the season. In the winning effort for the Friar, Phillipp Svedeback made 23 saves as they went to 9-3-2 in the season and played for the St. Lawrence Saints tomorrow to finish the tournament. As for the Golden Knights, Ethan Langenegger would make 28 saves as they fall to 9-5-1 and will have another top-20 opponent tomorrow as they will take on the Massachusetts Lowell Riverhawks. It would be the opening game of the 2024 edition of the Adirondack Winter Invitational from the famed Herb Brooks Arena, and it would feature a matchup between hockey east and ECAC foes as the #16 Massachusetts Lowell Riverhawks would face against the St. Lawrence Saints. There would be no scoring through the opening twenty minutes of the game as the teams were feeling each other out in the opening period. The Mass Lowell would finally break through in the second period and get the game's opening goal at the 11:25 mark from Dillan Bentley for the 1-0 lead, and that's where the game would be at the end of the second period. When the teams returned for the third period, both teams had a chance to tie the game up or take control of it, but both goalies were up to the challenge. The Riverhawks would get an empty netter goal in the final minute from Scott Trurman to give them the 2-0 victory. For the Riverhawks, Beni Halasaz would make 20 saves in the shutout victory as they go to 10-3 on the season and will play the Clarkson Golden Knights tomorrow at the end of the tournament. St. Lawrence Saints @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 19th 2024

Plattsburgh State's Julia Greek (2) takes flight on the runner as she drives the hoop and would have seven on the evening. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals Women's Basketball team would be back in action at Memorial as they would look to extend their winning streak to three as they would take on North Country foe from the Liberty League, the St. Lawrence Saints. The game would start well for the home Cardinals in the high pace affair with a 19-13 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The Saints would keep coming, though, and they would take it into the intermission tied at 33 with a 20-14 quarter. When the teams would return for the third quarter, the Saints would stay hot as they would come out with a 17-11 quarter, taking the lead at 50-44 and entering the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the home Cardinals would do their best to get the lead back, and they would even have their chance down the stretch to tie the game with under ten seconds, but it would come up short with a 16-14 quarter, and the Saints would get the 64-60 win. In the winning effort for the Saints, they would stay perfect on the season at 4-0, and Caelan McHarney and Annie Perry would have ten each to lead the Saints. As for the Cardinals, Imani Walcott would lead all scorers with 19 points, and they would fall to 2-2 on the season. They will be back in action Saturday against Clarkson. Gallery
