It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 400 fans The Cardinals would waste little time in taking control of the game as they would score three goals in the first 6 minutes of the game from Riley Keller, Sydnee Francis and Kate Conlon but the Mustangs would buckle down for the rest of the period and thats how it would end. The Cardinals would come again at the 8:19 mark of the second period, and Molly Riggi would score to extend the lead to 4-0. The Cardinals wouldn't rest, and they got one on the shorthand from Kate Conlon for the second of the game to make it 5-0 at the 14:31 mark of the period. It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. The Cardinals would get off to a quick start, scoring just 21 seconds into the game, thanks to Gabriel Filion. The game would stay there all the way til the 8:51 mark of the second period when the Blue Devils would tie the game at one on the Mathieu Fournier goal. The Cardinals would answer right back two minutes later and regain the lead at 2-1 on the Colin Callahan goal. Then,n at the 16:14 mark of the second period, they would extend their lead to 3-1 when Shane Bondy would light the lamp. The Blue Devils would answer back just 43 seconds into the third period when Luke Morris would score to make it a 3-2 game.
