The game would start out very good for the home Cardinals as they would have the 8-5 lead after the first half. In the second half there lack of experience would hurt them though as they couldn't hold the lead and lose the half 6-2 and the Cadets would get the 11-10 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrates as they return to the national final four for the eight year in a row. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #6 Williams Ephs in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Championshup. The Ephs would take the quick 1-0 lead nineteen seconds into the game. The game would remain there til the 3:08 mark of the second period when Cardinals Madison Walker would tie the game at one. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would take a 2-1 lead on Holly Schmelzer goal. The Ephs would tie the game at two with a powerplay goal with four minutes left in the second period. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 just a minute later on the Mackenzie Millen goal. The game would stay there til the eight minute mark of the third period when the Ephs would score and tie the game at three. Then the Cardinals would come back and take the lead back again at 4-3 on Nicole Unsworth goak at the twelve minute mark. The Cardinals would take a 2 goal lead at 5-3 45 seconds later on Mackenzie Millen second goal of the night to secure the 5-3 victory. The celebration is on as the Cardinals win in overtime. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Endicott Gulls in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game would start of good for the Gulls as they would score 4:37 into the first period for the 1-0 lead. The Gulls would strike again just under five minutes left to have the surprising 2-0 lead. Although the Cardinals would come out of the locker room fired up and Courtney Moriarty would score four minutes into the period to cut the deficit in half at 2-1. The game would remain there until there was 8:19 left in the game when Annie Katonka would score on a scramble play in front of the net for a 2-2. The Cardinals would fight for the remainder of the period with no success. The game would head to overtime although we would not be there very long as the Annie Katonka would send the home fans home happy 45 seconds in for the 3-2 win. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 Northeast Womens Hockey League champion for the second year in a row. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Cortland State Red Dragons in the 2019 N.E.W.H.L. Championship. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead four minutes into the first period from Erin McArdle. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 in the last few seconds of the first period on the Hanna Rose goal. In the second period Courtney Moriarty would get the goal at 6:34 for the 3-0 in the second period. Then three minutes later Annie Katonka would score to make it 4-0 Cardinals. Then in the final minute of the period Taylor Whitney would score for the 5-0 lead. That would end the scoring as there was nothing in the third period and the Cardinals would get the 5-0 victory to claim the 2019 NEWHL Chanpionship. The top seeded Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the 4 seeded Oswego State Lakers in the semi-finals of the NEWHL Hockey Tournament at the Field House in front of 500 people. The Cardinals would get the lone goal of the first period on the power play from Nicole Unsworth for the 1-0 lead after one. In the second period the Cardinals would get three goals in the period from Kaitlin Drew-Mead, Madison Walker and Mackenize Millen for the 4-1 lead after the second period. The Cardinals would strike again in the third period for three more goals from Courtney Moriarity, Annie Katonka, and Nicole Unsworth (second of the night) to secure the 7-1 victory. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #6 Brockport State Golden Eagles in the Quarterfinals of the SUNYAC Tournament. The Golden Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead just 2:17 into the game. That would be the only scoring all the way til the 6:48 mark of the third period when Matt Araujo would score to tie the game at one. The Cardinals would take the lead just 80 seconds later on Cole Stallard's goal to make it a 2-1 Cardinals lead. The Cardinals would add a empty netter in the closing minute from Ross Sloan to secure the 3-1 victory. The game would remain scoreless until the 1:33 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Kaitlin Drew-Mead goal. The Cardinals would expand there lead to 2-0 on Abby Brush's breakaway goal at the 6:43 mark of the third period. The Panthers although would cut the lead in half with under five minutes to go to make the reminder intense. Although the Cardinals would put the game away in the last minute on a empty netter from Annie Katonka to secure the 3-1 victory. Siena's Kadeem Smithen (5) in flights takes shot with the Quinnipac defender all over him as part of a five point night. The Siena Saints would host the Quinnipac Bobcats in MAAC action as they battle for second in the conference. The Bobcats would completely dominate the Saints throughout the first as they would 39-24 at the half. In the second half it would be completely different as the Siena would battle all the way back and tie the game up with a 51-36 half to send the game to overtime tied at 75. In the the overtime the Saints would hit one near the end to send it to a second overtime at 86. In that second overtime the Bobcats would hit a three pointer as time expired to send us to a third overtimme tied at 93. In that third overtime the Saints just ran out of as gas they Bobcats win the overtime 14-7 to secure the 107-100 victory. In the lose the Saints fall to 13-14 on the season as Jalen Pickett would lead the way with 46 points.Gallery

The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:59 mark of the first period from Christian Difelice. The Cardinals would waste no time make it 2-0 just 36 seconds later on Ryan Kuhn's goal. The game would remain there all the way til the third period when the Lakers would score at the 9:38 nark. From there the Cardinals would fight to keep the one goal lead and get the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort Jimmy Poreda would make 32 saves as the Cardinals finish the season at 12-11-2. Then with 6 minutes left in the period Ian Keller would score for Cortland to cut there lead in half at 2-1. The game would stay there til nine minute mark of the second period when Cam Owens would score for the Cardinals to regain the 2 goal lead at 3-1. Then just about two minutes later the Cardinals would score again to make 4-1. That is where the game would stay til the 11 minute mark of the third period when Cole Stallard would score for the Cardinals and secure the 5-1 victory.
