Car #126 ends up on top of the hood of car #5 during the four-cylinder heat after a very hard hit. The annual demolition derby would return to the Franklin County there would be over a hundred cars at the derby that would be separated into eight heats including a truck heat as well. The winner if the derby would be Amanda Ashline. There were be plenty of hard-hitting throughout the night of action. Gallery

Danny Jarvis and the Tasmanian Devil or a power pace for a top 3 finish in the Pro Stock 4x4 Truck class. The annual truck and tractor pull would return to the Franklin County Fair. There would be a total of 34 classes ranging from the street-legal truck to Super Farm tractor. There would be around 150 hooks for the day that would see the pull end early in the morning after having to wait out two rain delays. Gallery

Tyler Audet and Pure Breed Red care the front wheels down the track to tack the win in both Super Farm classes. There would be around 150 hooks throughout the 33 classes that would see everything from Farm tractors all the way up to the 4x4 Tractors. There would be a packed house throughout the night. Gallery

RJ Smith and his 2006 GMC Sierra sends the black smoke high into the night sky during the 2.6 Cheater Truck division pull. The annual all-night affair would return to the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont. There would be over 100 hooks that would be spread over 9 classes. That would be seen in front of a full grandstand and the brand loyalty was evident trough out the night. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Frank Brogna (5) releases the fastball for one of his six strikeouts on the day. The Airborne Speedway Padres would finish off the Meron's Expos by beating them 2-0 to advance to the championship next week. The only scoring in the game would come in the fourth inning of a two rbi double by Jeff Norton. The Padres would play stellar defense throughout the day to keep the shutout in tack. In the winning effort, Frank Brogna would strike out six while going the complete game for the win. With the win, Padres will be playing the Lyon Mountain Miners in the best two out of three series for the championship. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars @ Glens Falls Greenjackets July 28 2012

Plattsburgh Andrew Price (83) falls backward making the touchdown catch for the go-ahead score. The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls to take on the Greenjackets. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Glens Falls Greenjackets 34-22 to keep control of the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would get off to a quick start when Krys Ross would nearly run back the opening kickoff but the North Stars would score on the next play to take the lead. The teams would play equally for the rest of the half and the North Stars would actually trail 22-20 at the break. In the second half, the North Stars defense would clamp down and not allow a score and the North Stars would get the 34-22 win. With the win, the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league as Monroe County comes in Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

Kevin Dineen and his Allis-Chalmers D21 carry the front right down the far side of the track to a roaring crowd for the win the 9,500lb Farm Stock Tractors class. The annual truck and tractor pull to return to the Hopkinton Fire Department in Hopkinton. This pull just seems to keep getting bigger year after year. There would be around 50 competitors divided up in 14 classes that would take to the hard clay track that would take all the horsepower you could throw at it. There would be only a few minor breakdowns throughout the day. Gallery

Aaron Scalzo with To the Max hugs the line in the 9,000lb Work Stock Truck Class A and takes it out 405' for the win. The annual Street Truck Pull would return to the Clinton County Fair. There would be over 60 entries divided up into eight classes. It would be a great night had by everyone there would be some great action and there were only a few broken trucks. Gallery

Airborne Speedway Padres Vs Fourth Ward Athletics July 15 2012

Airborne Speedway Padres (88) Matt Rivers with the barehanded pick on the grounder and fires to first for the out. The Airborne Speedway Padres would defeat Fourth Ward Athletics 10-2. The game would start at Saranac High School where they played the top of the first. Then the rains would come and cause an hour-long rain delay. Where the field was determined to be unplayable so the game was moved to South Acres in Plattsburgh. The game would remain close through the opening six with Padres getting singles runs in the 2nd, 4th and 5th and Athletics would get one in the third to make it 3-1. Then in late innings, the Padres bats would come alive getting 7 runs in the last three innings with the big blow coming from Joey Painter's three-run homer. With the win Padres advance to Semi-Finals where they will play either the Expos or Miners. Gallery
