The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home after an extended road trip and take on a SUNYAC foe like the #22 Oneonta State Red Dragons as they battle at the league's top. The teams would go back and forth throughout the first half of the game, with both teams having their chance to get the opening goal, but there would be no score in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals would break the ice in the 75th minute on Brian Coughlan's third goal to make it a 1-0 game. It wouldn't take long for the Cardinals to extend their lead to 2-0 on Modou Badjie's second goal of the season in the 78th minute. From there, the Cardinals would stand tall, hold on for the 2-0 win, and improve their record to 7-1-3, while the Oneonta State Red Dragons would fall to 7-2-3. The Cardinals will return to action this Saturday as they trek across the state and take on the Buffalo State Bengals. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Modou Badjie (10) with the slide tackle on Oneonta State's Joe Holder (11) to break up the scoring attempt. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home after an extended road trip and take on a SUNYAC foe like the #22 Oneonta State Red Dragons as they battle at the league's top. Plattsburgh State's Danielle Torres gets the ball at the plate to cut down the runner. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Brockport State Eagles in doubleheader SUNYAC Softball action. The Cardinals would get single runs in the 2nd and 6th inning thanks to Maggiacomo and Gentile for the 2-0 win in game 1. The Cardinals pitcher Kristina Maggiacomo would go the complete game strike out five and scattered six hits for the 2-0 win. Then they would head to game 2 as they would look for the sweep on the day. The game would start off with the two teams trading runs in the first single with Darguilo getting a two rbi single and Waite a rbi single in the first inning as the Cardinals have a 3-1 lead after the first inning. The Cardinals would another run in the second inning as Garguilo with the RBI single for the 4-1 lead. The Eagles would come back and tie it up in the top of third on three rbi singles. Although at the bottom of the inning the Cardinals would regain the lead at 5-4 on Murray's fielder choice. The Eagles would tie the game up again in the fifth inning on a passed ball. Then in the sixth inning, the Eagles would take their first lead of the game at 7-5 on a fielders choice and single. Although the Cardinals would get it back to 7-6 on Murray's rbi single. Then in the seventh inning, the Cardinals would get two runs including a walk-off double by Waite to give the Cardinals the 8-7. With the win, the Cardinals get the sweep on the day and go to 8-10 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals were back in action the next day as they would take on the Oneonta State Red Dragons in doubleheader action. The Red Dragons would get first blood as they would get four runs in the third inning highlighted by a 2 rbi double by Serena. The Red Dragons would get a single run in the fourth and fifth to make it a 6-0 game. The Cardinals would get on the board in the fifth with a fielders choice by Kelsey Waite to make it a 6-1 game. Then in the sixth inning, the Red Dragons would add three more runs lead by Serena 2 rbi double for the 9-1 lead to invoking the mercy rule as the Cardinals lose game 1 and fall to 5-8 on the season. After a twenty-minute break, the teams would return for the second game of the doubleheader and it would once again start off badly for the Cardinals as they would give up three runs in the first inning led by Digiovanni rbi single. Although in the bottom of the inning the Cardinals would answer back with a pair of runs by Sam Gentile and Kelsey Waite for a 3-2 game. The Red Dragons would extend the lead back to a Cardinals error making it 4-2. The Red Dragons would make it a three-run game on a rbi single by Mangone in the fifth inning. The Cardinals would answer back in the fifth as Golino would score on a wild pitch. The Cardinals would make it a one-run game in the sixth inning on a rbi single by Golino at 5-4. Although in the top of the seventh the Red Dragons would put the final touches on the sweep for the day on a rbi double by Hussey and secure the 6-4 win. In the loss, the Cardinals fall to 5-9 on the season and will be back in action on April 5th as they travel to St. Lawerence and take on the Saints. Gallery

The game would start off close as the Cardinals were looking to end the season on a high note as they would trail 19-14 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would do there best to keep the game close as they would lose the quarter 16-14 and trail 35-28 at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter it would be more of the same as the Red Dragons would pull away a bit more with an 18-14 quarter and have a 53-42 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, it would be the status quo as the Red Dragons would win the quarter by a slim 17-16 for the 70-58 win. In the losing effort, Plattsburgh State's Taylor Durnin would lead the team with 13 points as the Cardinals finish the season at 7-18. Gallery

It would be senior day for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would host the Oneonta State Red Dragons in the last game of the season. The game would start off close as the Cardinals were looking to end the season on a high note as they would trail 19-14 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would do there best to keep the game close as they would lose the quarter 16-14 and trail 35-28 at the intermission. Plattsburgh State's Taylor Durnin (10) keeps control of the ball and the play from the knee in a battle of keep away. The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team had a tough night on the court against a SUNYAC-leading foe from New Paltz. In a game in which they never held a lead, the Cardinals couldn't hold back the New Paltz offense and lost by a final score of 73-45 at Memorial Hall. After the Hawks opened the scoring with a three-pointer by Marion Dietz, Plattsburgh's Taylor Durnin equalized nearly two minutes later in the low-scoring first quarter for both teams. The teams exchanged field goals just after the midpoint of the quarter, but 5-5 would be the last time the game was tied. New Paltz controlled the scoreboard from then on. Trailing by seven at the halftime buzzer, the Cardinals saw things turn from bad to worse in the third period. Two separate six-point runs by the Hawks, each lasting more than three minutes, allowed the visitors to build a commanding lead. The final 28-point margin was the result of a fourth-quarter even more dominant than the third for New Paltz, who outscored the host team 23-11 in the final frame. Individually, a balanced offense for the Hawks saw three different players hit double-digit points, with three more having 8 or 9, while Durnin's 10-point night was the only double-digit performance for the Cardinals.
