The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in a taking the 1-0 lead at the three minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there till 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period, Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period, it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period, the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29, the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power-play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory. In the losing effort, Joe Brown would make 34 saves as the Huskies fall to 2-1 on the season. Gallery.
