Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Basketball #14 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Lawrence Larries January 6 2015

Chateaugay's Brianna Cook (10) with the layup off the window for the score. The #14 Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the St. Lawrence Larries in Section X action. It would be a game where the scoring would be at a premium. The Larries would have the 9-6 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would win the quarter 6-4 although they would trail 13-12 at the half. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Bulldogs would win the quarter 9-4 and take the 22-16 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Larries would have no answer the Bulldogs would win the quarter 10-4 to take the 32-20 win. In the winning effort, Danielle Cook (23) would lead the way with 14 points as the Bulldogs go to 4-2 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball #3 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Beekmantown Eagles January 3 2015

Chateaugay's Tyler Jones (15) with the three-pointer from the top over the defender's block attempt. It would be a nonsectional matchup as the #3 Chateaugay Bulldogs would travel to Beekmantown and tangle with the Eagles. It would be a matchup between two evenly matched teams that would not see the lead get over at all during the contest. The Eagles would have the 14-8 lead after the first quarter. The Eagles would also win the second quarter 15-12 and take a 29-20 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back from the third quarter the Eagles would take the quarter slightly 12-10 and have a 41-30 lead headed into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would go to the full-court press and the Eagles would have a hard time with it and the Bulldogs would win the quarter 21-12. Although it would not be enough as the Eagles would hold on for the 53-50 victory. In losing effort Zack Cowan would lead the way for the Bulldogs with 16 points for the Bulldogs as they fall to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Hockey Saranac Chiefs Vs Shaker Colonie Jets January 3 2015

Saranac's Collin Recore (3) with the hip check on the defender in open ice. The Saranac Chiefs would play the Shaker Colonie Jets in Non-League contest. The Shaker Colonie Jets would get the opening goal 5 minutes into the game to make it 1-0. The game would stay there until mid way through the second period when Saranac's Alex Zurio would score on the scramble in front of the net to make it 1-1. From there are on out the goalies would be up to the task as the game would end in 1-1 tie. The Chiefs with the tie go to 1-5-1 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Buck Supply/WB Mason Cardinal Classic #7 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #15 Amherst Jeffersons January 3 2015

A couple of Plattsburgh State Cardinal scramble for the loose puck in front of the net. It would be the finals of the Buck Supply/WB Mason Cardinal Classic. It would be a battle of top 15 teams as the #7 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #15 Amherst Jeffersons. There would be no scoring throughout the game and overtime so the game went in the record books at 0-0 tie. Although because of the tournament there was shootout to determine the winner and the Jeffersons would get the 1-0 win. In losing effort Cardinal's Spencer Finney would be credited with the shutout stopping 31 shots as the Cardinals go to 10-2-1 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey 2015 Buck Supply/W.B. Mason Cardinal Classic #7 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs New England College Pilgrims January 2 2015

Plattsburgh State's Ryan Fox (27) with the shot on net that sales just over the top. The #7 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host New England College Pilgrims in the Semi-Finals of the Cardinal Classic. The Cardinals would waste little time taking the 1-0 lead on Paul Fregeau's goal at 3:09 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Paul Fregeau would score again to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Then at the 10:17 mark of the first Cardinal's Aryton Valente would score to make it 3-0 at the first intermission. The game would stay there until the 13:47 mark of the second period when Cardinal's Josh Koerner would score to make it 4-0. The game would stay there until the 7:43 mark of the third period when Paul Fegeau would finish the scoring and hat trick on the night. With the Cardinals would get the 5-0 victory and the goaltenders would combine for the shutout as they go to 10-2-2 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Section 7/10 Challenge Malone Huskies Vs Peru Indians December 27 2014

Malone's Connor Gallagher (32) with the baby hook over the defender. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Peru Indians at the Plattsburgh State Field House as part of the Section 7/10 Challenge. It would be defensive first half with the Huskies having the low scoring 23-20 lead at the break. In the second half, the Peru offense would come alive and be too much the Huskies to deal with as the Indians win the half 37-23. With the half going to the Indians by such a big margin they would get the come from behind win 57-46. In the losing effort for the Huskies Connor Gallager would lead the team with 12 points. Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football Plattsburgh Pioneers Vs Titsburgh Feelers December 27 2014

Titsburgh's defender with the fingertip pass breaks up. It would be week 6 of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League and would pit the Plattsburgh Pioneers and the Titsburgh Feelers. The game would be in control of the Pioneers from the start as they would have 22-2 lead at the break. In the second half, it would be more of the same as they would win the second half 24-6. In doing so it would give the 46-8 victory. With the winning effort, the Plattsburgh Pioneers would go to 3-3 while the Titsburgh Feelers would fall to 1-5 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football Plattsburgh Mod Squad Vs Morrisonville Midshipmen December 27 2014

Morrisonville's Matt Hughes with the one handed catch in the endzone for the score. It would be week 6 of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League and would pit the Plattsburgh Mod Squad and Morrisonville Midshipmen. This would be a tightly contested game throughout with the Mod Squad having the 20-18 lead at the break. In the second half the tides would turn in the Midshipmen's favor and win the half 18-12. NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Section 7/10 Challenge Saranac Chiefs Vs Brushton-Moira December 27 2014

Saranac's (14) and the Brushton defender battle for the ball underneath that would go for the jump ball. The Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the Brushton-Moira Panthers at the Plattsburgh State Field House as part of the Section 7/10 Challenge. It a game that would tight throughout with neither team seeing a more than ten-point lead. The Saranac Chiefs would have a 29-21 lead at the break thanks to a late half run. In the second half, the teams would play to a draw at 34 a piece that would end up giving the Saranac Chiefs the 63-55 victory. In the winning effort, Austin Myers would lead the way with 21 points.
