Chateaugay's Alexis Beach (10) drives the lane hard and gets the foul to head to the line. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the non-league win over the Chazy Eagles 53-22. The game would be close throughout the first half as the Bulldogs would have just a 7 point lead. The offense would come alive in the 2nd half though and especially in the 4th quarter with a 17-5 quarter to secure the win. Plattsburgh State's Vick Shleuter (7) stuffs the puck in the net on the scramble in front of the net. #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get a scare from Skidmore Thoroughbreds and get the 6-3 win. The Skidmore thoroughbreds would get the 2-0 lead before Vick Shuelter would answer back to make it 2-1 at the break. Then in the second period Nick Jensen would tie it up at 2. Then in the last 2 minutes of the period the thoroughbreds would score again to take a 3-2 lead to the intermission. Then in the third period the flood gates would open as the Cardinals would get 4 unanswered goals. It would start with Kyle Kudroch getting two goals to tie it up and game-winner. Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (29) with the game-saving save with the leg on the breakaway. #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would defeat #4 Castleton State Spartans 3-2 in a rematch of the Cardinal Classic. The game would be scoreless until Matt McCleod scored 2 minutes into the second period and Castleton State would tie it up at 1 with 6 minutes left in the second to go into intermission tied at 1. Alex Jensen would give the Cardinals the lead back 2-1 5 minutes into the third. Then Alex Brenton would get the eventual game-winner 4 minutes later. For the championship of the Cardinal Classic, it was a battle of the top 5 schools as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals took on the Castleton State Spartans. This would be a very rough game right from the drop of the puck. The game would remain scoreless until the 11-minute mark of the second period when the Spartans take the 1-0. Then with 3 minutes remaining in the period, the Cardinal tied the game up on Kyle Taylor's goal. The game would stay tied until Jake Mooney scores the game-winner with 4 minutes left in the game to give the Cardinals the Cardinal Classic title.
