Saranac's Ethan Goslin (1) breaks up the pass in the endzone that was intended for Peru's Noah Phillips (19). The Saranac Chiefs would travel to Peru and take on the Indians in CVAC match up between two bitter rivals. The game would be close through the opening quarter as the Indians would lead 7-0. Then in the second quarter is where the flood gates would open up and score 17 to take a 24-0 lead into the intermission. Then in the second half, it would be more of the same as the Chiefs were just decimated by injuries throughout. The Peru Indians would score 27 more points and cruise to the 51-0 victory. Next week the Chiefs head back home where they will take on Ticonderoga.

Saranac's John Maye (26) fights through the leg tackle to get the extra yards needed for the first down. The Saranac Chiefs would fall short at home as they would lose 28-6. The game would remain scoreless until the three-minute mark of the second quarter when Zack Myers would find Haydin Fountain for the score and take the 8-0 lead. The Eagles would strike again with a rushing touchdown with 34 seconds left in the half and take a 14-0 lead into the locker room. Then when the teams came back out for the 2nd half the third quarter would be a track meet with the Eagles scoring twice one a Zack Myers QB sneak and on a long TD pass to Haydin Fountain. The lone Saranac score would come on a 63 TD Pass. That is where the score would remain till the end with the win Eagles go to 2-0 and the Chiefs 1-1 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Zack Myers (15) is tackled from behind and taken out of bounds by a couple of Saranac defenders. The Saranac Chiefs would fall short at home as they would lose 28-6. The game would remain scoreless until the three-minute mark of the second quarter when Zack Myers would find Haydin Fountain for the score and take the 8-0 lead. The Eagles would strike again with a rushing touchdown with 34 seconds left in the half and take a 14-0 lead into the locker room. Saranac's (4) uses the side of her leg to settle the ball down and take it up the field on the attack. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Canton Golden Bears in the Saranac Early Bird Tournament. The Saranac Chiefs would prove to be too much for the Golden Bears at they would cruise to a 5-1 victory. The Chiefs would take the early 1-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game and not let off the gas pedal. The Chiefs would take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. Then in the early part of the second, the Bears would get a their lone goal to keep their chances alive and the Chiefs would get two more to ice the game. With the win, the Chiefs go to 1-0 on the season and the Bears start at 0-1 on the season. Gallery

Saranac's Andrew Petro (12) knocks down the hard smash to first for the out. The Saranac Chiefs would defeat the Beekmantown Eagles 6-5 ton win the 2012 Section VII Class B Championship at Chip Cummings field. The Chiefs would get on the board with a 2 run rbi single by Kasey Favreau for the 2-0 lead. The Eagles would answer back to tie it at the top of the third at 2. Although at the bottom of third the Chiefs would get four runs to get the 6-2 lead. Then in the fourth inning, the Eagles would cut the lead in half at 6-4. Then in the seventh inning, the Eagles would get 1 and leave the baseloads as the Chiefs would get the 6-5 victory. In the winning effort, Tanner Rascoe would go 6 2/3 while striking out and Ben Weightman would come into getting the last two outs for the save for there first sectional title in 4 years. Gallery

The Saranac Chiefs would defeat the Beekmantown Eagles 6-5 ton win the 2012 Section VII Class B Championship at Chip Cummings field. Saranac's Kasey Favreau (34) release the high fastball for the swinging struck one of his five on the day. The Saranac Chiefs would defeat the Northeastern Clinton Cougars 5-2. The Cougars would get the opening shot with two runs in the first to take 2-0 lead. Then over the remaining six innings Kasy Favreau would quite the Cougars and the Chiefs would get five unanswered runs. The would get one back in the third on Brady Burleigh's RBI double to make it 2-1. Then in fourth the big shot would be made on Tanner Rascoe's three-run homer to give the Chiefs a 4-2 lead. Then in the sixth inning, the Chiefs would add an insurance run on Austin Velie's RBI single. In getting the win for the Chiefs Kasey Favreau would go the distance striking out five, five hits and four walks. The Chiefs will play Wednesday for the Section VII championship. Gallery

Saranac's batter makes connect on the pitch down the middle for the base hit. The Saranac Chiefs would take care of business against the Moriah Vikings winning 14-1. The game would be tied at 1 after the first. Then in the rest of the game, the Chiefs would get 13 unanswered runs and cruise to the victory.
