Plattsburgh's Nate Baker with the tag at second base for the out on the would-be Red Strom base stealer. It would be the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B playoffs and the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Saranac Lake Red Storm at the Plattsburgh Athletic Complex. The road Red Storm would have upset on their mind early as they would get out to the early 2-0 lead in the first on a two-rbi single by Strack. In the bottom of the second inning, the Hornets would get on the board with a fielder's choice by Jake Calkins to make it a 2-1 game. Then in the bottom of the third, the Hornets would tie the game at two on a rbi single from Jace Lacey. The game would stay there all the way till the fifth inning when the Hornets would explode for a seven-run inning led by a bases-clearing triple by Trenton Griffiths to at the time give the Hornets an 8-2 lead as the Hornets would get one more run later in the inning to have a 9-2 lead after five. The Red Strom would keep fighting though as they would get a run in the sixth on a sac fly by Strack to make it a 9-3 game. Then in the seventh the Red Strom would keep coming as they would get two more on back-to-back rbi singles from Darrah and Rivers but their comeback bid would come up short as the Hornets would get the 9-5 win. In the winning effort, Trenton Griffiths would go six innings and give up just three runs on six hits while striking out at seven as the Hornets will advance to the Section VII Class B Finals against the Beekmantown Eagles who upset the #1 Peru Nighthawks at Chip Cummings Field on May 25th. Beekmantown's Austin Bradish(12) makes contact on the heater and sends it to the outfield for a base hit. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Schlamont Sabres in the opening round of the New York State Class B Playoffs. The game would be pitching duel through the first four innings with only four hits combined by the teams. The Eagles would actually strike first to take a 1-0 lead. Then at the top of the 5th, the Sabres bats would come alive and the Eagles defense would fall to execute some plays and the Sabres would strike for 6 runs and have a 6-1 lead. The Eagles would try there best to get back in the game in the bottom of the inning as they would score two to make it 6-3. Then in the seventh inning, the Sabres would put the final touches of the game as they would score four more runs and secure the 10-3 victory. With the defeat, the Eagles season would come to an end as they finish the season with a record of 18-4. Gallery

Beekmantown's Adam Goldfarb (3) with the sliding barehanded pick behind second base and completes the play by firing to first for the out. The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would face off for the Section VII Class B title at Chip Cummings Field for the right to go the state playoffs. The Indians would take the 1-0 lead in first to get everything started. The Indians would extend it to 3-0 in third. Then in the bottom of the third, the Eagles would get right back in the game and tie it at three with three runs of there own. The Indians would regain the lead at 4-3 in the fifth. Although the relentless Eagles would tie it back up in the 6th to make it 4-4. Then the big drama would come in the bottom of the seventh when Zack Myers would get the game-winning walk-off single that would score Brandon Rabideau to give the Eagles the 5-4 win and Section VII Title. Getting the win on the mound for the Eagles would be Brandon Rabideau. With the win, the Beekmantown Eagles now head to state play where they play Schalmont on June 3rd at Chip Cummings Field. The Beekmantown Eagles rush home plate and the party is on as Brandon Rabideau scores the game-winning run on Zack Myers walk-off single to give them the section VII title. The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would face off for the Section VII Class B title at Chip Cummings Field for the right to go the state playoffs. The Indians would take the 1-0 lead in first to get everything started. The Indians would extend it to 3-0 in third. Then at the bottom of the third, the Eagles would get right back in the game and tie it at three with three runs of there own. The Indians would regain the lead at 4-3 in the fifth. That is where the score would remain until the third when the Eagles would bounce back with three runs to take a 3-1 lead. The Cougars would come right back in the fourth and score two runs to tie the game at 3. Then om fifth the Eagles would take back the lead at 4-3. Then in the sixth, they would add an insurance run to secure the 5-3 win. Getting the win for the Eagles would be Austin Bradish as he struck out three and gave up four hits three walks and three runs. The Saranac Chiefs would defeat the Beekmantown Eagles 6-5 ton win the 2012 Section VII Class B Championship at Chip Cummings field. The Chiefs would get on the board with a 2 run rbi single by Kasey Favreau for the 2-0 lead. The Eagles would answer back to tie it at the top of the third at 2. Although at the bottom of third the Chiefs would get four runs to get the 6-2 lead. Then in the fourth inning, the Eagles would cut the lead in half at 6-4. Then in the seventh inning, the Eagles would get 1 and leave the baseloads as the Chiefs would get the 6-5 victory.
