Plattsburgh's (34) with the stiff arm on Ausable Valley defender as he goes around the end going for the first down. It would be week four the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season and this week we would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Ausable Valley Patriots in action. The Patriots would take the 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter in the short run. The game would stay there all the way till the fourth quarter when the Patriots would extend the lead to 13-0 on the touchdown pass to (14). Then with 5 minutes left in the game, the Hornets would get on the board with the touchdown pass to (84) to cut the deficit in half at 13-7. With the win, the Patriots go to 2-2 as they head into the off week. As for the Hornets, they will fall to 0-4 on the season and will be headed to Peru next week to take on the Indians. Gallery.

Plattsburgh's Jason Moore (4) grabs the jersey of the Beekmantown running back and drags him to the ground for the tackle. It would be week 3 of the CVAC football season and the match up would feature a pair of winless teams as the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles would enter at 0-2. The Eagles would take the 6-0 lead on a short run for the score. Then in the second quarter, they would pull away as they would score twice including a two-point conversation to take a 21-0 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Hornets would make some adjustments as the two teams would play even ball. The Hornets would get on the board midway through the fourth on Quaran run to make it 21-6. The hornets would have some other chances but were unable to capitalize on them and the Eagles would hold on for the 21-6 victory. With the win, the Eagles go to 1-2 while the Hornets fall to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Dylan Clay (18) with the crashing hit on the Beekmantown running back (4) as he tried to take it to the open field for the big gain. It would be week 3 of the CVAC football season and the match up would feature a pair of winless teams as the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles would enter at 0-2. The Eagles would take the 6-0 lead on a short run for the score. Then in the second quarter, they would pull away as they would score twice including a two-point conversation to take a 21-0 lead into the break. Saranac's (8) slides in safe at third under the tag. It would be the Saranac Chiefs and the Plattsburgh Hornets in Section 7 JV baseball. It would be a day that would be in favor of the Hornets as they would take the quick 2-0 lead in the first. They would extend the lead in the third to 5-0. The in the top of the fourth Chiefs would get on the board to make it 5-1. Although at the bottom of the inning the Hornets would break the game wide open and take a 10-1 lead. Then in the sixth, the Chiefs would get a couple to try and get back in the game and make it 10-3. That's where the game would finish as the Hornets would get the 10-3 victory. In the losing effort, the Chiefs would fall to 0-2 in the early season. Gallery.

Northeastern Clinton's (10) battles hard with the Hornets face-off man for the in zone face-off win. It would be the #3 Plattsburgh Hornets hosting the #6 Northeastern Clinton Cougars in Section VII Division II Quarterfinals. The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when Plattsburgh's when Kurtis Olsen would light the lamp to make it 1-0. Then in the second period, the Hornets would add another two more goals to make it a 3-0 game after the second period. Then just 2:30 into the third the Cougars would look to make it a game as Dayton Roberts would score to make it 3-1. Although the Hornets would answer right back with four of there own to make it 7-1 Hornets lead. The Cougars would get another one late but it wouldn't be enough as the Hornets get the 7-2 win. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh Hornets advance to the Semi-Finals where they get the waiting Beekmantown Eagles. Gallery

Northeastern's Ryan Roberts (33) with the save as he lays out across the goal line as part of a 37 save night. It would be a late-season matchup between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and Plattsburgh Hornets wanting home ice in the first round. The Hornets would get the first goal of the game at the 10:19 mark of the first period from Andrew Becherd to make it 1-0 Hornets. The game would stay there til the 10:52 mark of the second period when Andrew Becherd would get his second of the night. Then just 15 seconds later the Cougars would get on the board to make it 2-1 on the Dayton Roberts goal. The game would stay there till 9:14 of the third when Kurtis Olsen would make it 3-1 Hornets. Then at the 1435 mark, Andrew Becherd would finish off the hat trick and make it 4-1. In the losing effort, Ryan Roberts would make 37 saves as the Cougars fall to 5-10 on the season. Gallery

The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when the Huskies would make it 1-0 on Jordan Schrafs goal. The game would stay there till the 6-minute mark of the second period when Hornet's Devin Clarke would score to make it 1-1. The Huskies would regain the lead at 2-1 on Evan Keegan's goal at 12:59 of the second period. Then at 2:57 of the third period Huskies, Kyler Head would make it 3-1 with a shorthanded goal. Then at the 8:42 mark of the third, the Hornet's would do there best to get back in the game with a power-play goal by Andrew Bechard to make it 3-2. Although it wouldn't be enough and from there the Huskies would hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort, Malone's Joey Brown makes 28 saves and the Huskies go to 1-0 on the season.
