Plattsburgh State's Nicole Unsworth (20) puts it to the top shelf for one of her two goals on the afternoon. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals in NEWHL Women's Hockey action. The two teams would take sometime to feel out each other and with that being said there would be no scoring in the first period. Although that would change in the second period and right off the bat as Sara Krauseneck would score just 22 seconds into the game. Then just over the a minute later the Cardinals would strike again and make it 2-0 on the Nicole Unsworth goal. Then at the 7:02 mark Annie Katonka would strike and make it 3-0 Cardinals. Then in the closing seconds of the second period Taylor Whitney would score and the Cardinals would take a 4-0 lead. In the third period the Bengals didn't have much of a answer as the Cardinals would score twice more from Nicole Unsworth (second of the night) and Tatem Cheney as the Cardinals secure the 6-0 win. In the winning effort Ashley Davis would make 11 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals go to 14-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Chole Beaubein (29) with the glove save on the top shelf shot as part of a 19 save night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home for there first game of the home game of the 2020 portion of there season with NEWHL matchup against the Morrisville State Mustangs. The Cardinals would return home in top form as they would get three goals in the opening period two from Katiln Drew Mead and one from Annie Katonka and have a 3-0 lead at the end of the period. In the second period the Cardinals would get one more from Sara Krauseneck at the 3:20 mark to take the 4-0 lead. Although the Mustangs would answer back two minutes later on a goal from Mackenzie Lombardi to break up the shutout bid. That is where the game would stay till 12:49 mark of the third period when Annie Katonka would strike again this time on the powerplay for her second goal of the night and secure the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, Anne Katonka and Katlin Drew-Mead would each have a pair of goals while Chole Beaubein would make 19 stops as the Cardinals go to 13-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Anne Katonka (47) gets the rebound goal as she is falling to the ice. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home for there first game of the home game of the 2020 portion of there season with NEWHL matchup against the Morrisville State Mustangs. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they advance to there sixth straight NCAA Division III Frozen Four. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host longtime rival #4 Middlebury Panthers in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The game would remain scoreless until the 14:34 mark of the second period when Erin McCardle would get the tip-in goal for the 1-0 Cardinals lead. Although just over three minutes later the Panthers would tie the game up on the power-play goal. The Cardinals would regain the lead at the 6:58 mark of the third period on the Ashley Songin scramble in front of the 2-1 lead. Then in the final minute of the game, the Cardinals would ice it away on Mackenzie Millen's empty netter. In the winning effort, the Cardinals advance to Frozen Four and Kassi Abbott gets 26 saves. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals have crowned the 2018 NEWHL Champions. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would the #3 Oswego State Lakers in the first-ever NEWHL championship. The Cardinals would waste little time in showing that they wanted the title as they would score three goals in the first from Courtney Moriarty, Kayla Meneghain and Abby Brush. In the second period, it would be more of the same as they would score three more from Courtney Moriarty, Mackenize Millen and Kayla Meneghain for the 6-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals would back off the throttle and cruise to the 6-0 victory. In the winning effort, Brooke Wolejko would 23 saves for the shutout. In the third period, the Cardinals would add two more from Melissa Sheeran and Mackenzie Millen to secure the 6-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Courtney Moriarty (18) with the goal on the breakaway over the shoulder of the goalie as part of the hat trick night. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals in a NEWHL game. The game would start slow as the Cardinals would get the lone goal of the period from Kerri Corcoran. The game would remain there until 7:05 of the second period when Buffalo State would equal the game up at one. Although from there the Cardinals would light the lamp three more times in the period from Courtney Moriarty to make it 4-1 after the second period. hen the teams came out for the third period the Cardinals offense would go on fire and score five goals. All five goals scorers would be different from Melissa Sheehan, Baye Falagan, Lizzy Viola, Annie Katonka and Sarah Wolf for the 9-1 victory.
