The Plattsburgh State Cardinals have crowned the 2018 NEWHL Champions. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would the #3 Oswego State Lakers in the first-ever NEWHL championship. The Cardinals would waste little time in showing that they wanted the title as they would score three goals in the first from Courtney Moriarty, Kayla Meneghain and Abby Brush. In the second period, it would be more of the same as they would score three more from Courtney Moriarty, Mackenize Millen and Kayla Meneghain for the 6-0 lead.
