The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they advance to there sixth straight NCAA Division III Frozen Four. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host longtime rival #4 Middlebury Panthers in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The game would remain scoreless until the 14:34 mark of the second period when Erin McCardle would get the tip-in goal for the 1-0 Cardinals lead. Although just over three minutes later the Panthers would tie the game up on the power-play goal. The Cardinals would regain the lead at the 6:58 mark of the third period on the Ashley Songin scramble in front of the 2-1 lead. Then in the final minute of the game, the Cardinals would ice it away on Mackenzie Millen's empty netter. In the winning effort, the Cardinals advance to Frozen Four and Kassi Abbott gets 26 saves.
