The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get the lone goal in the first period on Kayla Meneghin's short-handed goal at the 4:32 mark. The game would stay there until the 6:09 mark of the second period when Karen Hudson would score to make it 2-0. Then the Cardinals would end the second period with a couple of power-play goals from Courtney Molarity and Jordan Lipson to make it 4-0 after the second period. The Red Dragons would get on the board at 2:28 of the third period to make it 4-1. Then at 6:02 of the third period, the Cardinals would regain the four-goal lead on a power-play goal by Melissa Ames.
