The game would remain scoreless through the first period and the Pioneers would take the 1-0 lead a minute into the second period. The Cardinals would fight back and tie the game at one Kayla Meneghin goal. Then the Cardinals would take the 2-1 lead at the four minute mark of third on Kayla Meneghin shorthanded goal. Then in the final minute of the game Megan Crandell would add the empty netter to secure the 3-1 victory. Then at the 7:57 mark of the 1st period, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on the Megan Crandell goal. Then under a minute later the Cardinals would make it 3-0 on the Melissa Ames goal. The Cardinals would add one more in the 1st period on the Meghan Kraus goal to make it 4-0. The Pioneers would get on the board near the need of the first to make it 4-1 Cardinals after the 1st period. That is where the game would stay until the 9-minute mark of the third when the Pioneers would score to make it 4-2. Then just over two minutes later the Cardinals would regain there three-goal lead at 5-2 on Ashley Songin goal. Then at the 13:17 mark of the third, the Cardinals would end there scoring on the Mackenize Millen goal to secure the 6-2 victory. The Cardinals would show their muscle early in the contest scoring four goals in the first period from Karen Hudson, Kayla Meneghain, Jordan Lipson and Courtney Moriarty for the 4-0 lead. In the second period, the Cardinals would add two more goals from Melissa Sheeran, and Melissa Ames for 6-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the icing on the cake with two more goals Courtney Moriarty (second of the night), and Jordan Lipson (second of the night) to secure the 8-0 victory. The Cardinals would waste no time putting their mark on the game scoring four times in the first for the 4-0 lead. Getting the goals in the first period would be Giovanna Sense, Melissa Ames, Bridget Baisley, and Katalin Turk. In the second period, it would be more of the same the Cardinals would light the lamp five times for the 9-0 lead. Getting goals in the second period would be Kayla Meneghin, Mia Favretto, Oliva Fox, Shannon Stewart, Kayla Meneighan (second of the night), and Giovanna Sense (second of the night). Then in third period, the Cardinals would win it 2-1 to secure the 11-1 victory. In the third period, the teams would trade goals to secure the 11-1 victory.
