Plattsburgh State's team poses for there team photo as they are crowned the 2016 ECAC West Champions. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Utica Pioneers in the 2016 ECAC West Championship. The Cardinals would show their muscle early in the contest scoring four goals in the first period from Karen Hudson, Kayla Meneghain, Jordan Lipson and Courtney Moriarty for the 4-0 lead. In the second period, the Cardinals would add two more goals from Melissa Sheeran, and Melissa Ames for 6-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the icing on the cake with two more goals Courtney Moriarty (second of the night), and Jordan Lipson (second of the night) to secure the 8-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals would be crowned the 2016 ECAC West Champions and Camille Leonard would stop all 17 shots in the shutout victory as they head to the NCAA Tournament. Gallery
