The game would remain scoreless until the first minute of the second period when Mellisa Sheeran would light the lamp to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at the eight-minute mark Kayla Meneghain. The game would stay there till the last minute of the game when Kayla Meneghain would get her second goal of the night on the empty net. As the Cardinals would secure the 3-0 victory. Them at the 13:59 mark of the first period Giovanna Sense would put it top shelf to make it 2-0 Cardinals. The game would remain there all the way til 1:42 of the third period Kayla Meneghin would score on the wrap-around goal to make it 3-0. Then at 15:54 of the third period, Kayla Meneghin would get her second of the night to secure the 4-0 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2014 Cardinal/Panther Classic Champion. It would be a battle of the top two teams in the nation for the Cardinal/Panther Classic Championship as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Elmira Soaring Eagles would do battle. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead with 4:12 left in the first period on Caitlin Gilligains goal. Then at the 10:23 mark of the second period the Eagles would tie the game up at one on Johanna Eidensten's goal. Then just 12 seconds into the third period Shannon Stewart would score on the powerplay to make it 2-1 Cardinals. Then just over three minutes, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Melissa Sheeran's goal. Then another three minutes later Cardinal's Mia Favretto would score to make it 4-1. The Soaring Eagles would add a late goal to make it 4-2 but it would not be enough as the Cardinals would get the 4-2 win and go to 8-0-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jordan Lipson (2) with a backhander in the 4th round of the shootout to advance to the Cardinal/Panther Classic Championship. In the semi-finals of the Cardinal/Panthers classic, we would have a battle of two of the top four teams in the nation as #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Gustavus Adolphus Yellow Jackets. The Cardinals would get the lone goal of the first period just a 1:28 in on Melissa Sheeran's goal to make it 1-0 after the 1st period. Then at the 5:53 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would make it 2-0 Mia Favretto's goal. The Yellow Jackets would come back and make it 2-1 at the 10:33 mark of the second period. Then at the 17:32 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead on Bridget Bailsey's goal to make it 3-1. Then at the 9:03 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 4-1 the Andreas Zeissman goal. However, the Yellow Jackets would come charging back getting three goals in a 4-minute span to send the game to overtime tied at four. In the overtime there would be no scoring so the game would officially go down as a tie but seeing that it was a tournament they went to a shootout and the Cardinals would win it in the 4th round to head to the Championship and go to 7-0-2 on the season. The Cadinals would waste no time putting there mark on the game scoring four times in the first for the 4-0 lead. Getting the goals in the first period would be Giovania Sense, Melissa Ames, Bridget Baisley, and Katylin Turk. In the second period it would be more of the same the Cardinals would light the lamp five times for the 9-0 lead. Getting goals in the second period would be Kayla Meneghin, Mia Favretto, Oliva Fox, Shannon Stewart, Kayla Meneighan (second of the night), and Giovanna Sense (second of the night). Then in theird period the Cardinals would win it 2-1 to secure the 11-1 victory. In the third period the teams would trade goals to secure the 11-1 victory. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in ECAC-West action going for the clean sweep. The Cardinals would pick up right where they left off last night as they would light six times in the first period. For the six goals in the period, there would be five different goal scores lighting the lamp would be Allison Era (twice), Chelsea VanGalahan, Bridget Bailsey, Jordan Caldwell, and Kathleen Turk. When the teams came back for second period there would be no let-up in the Cardinals as they would get four more goals for 10-0 lead. The goal scores would be Giovanna Sense, Chelsea VanGalahan twice to complete the hat trick, and Maggie Kolton. The Red Dragons would get a goal in the third period to avoid the shutout. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at the 1:43 mark of the second period on Bridget Bailsy goal. The Valiants would cut the lead in half at 3:35 of the second period on Alla Traun's goal. The Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead in the final two minutes of the second on Bridget Bailsy second goal of the day for the 3-1 lead.
