It would be the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women's Hockey Division III Tournament. The Cardinal's and Shannon Stewart would get on the board first at the 7:14 mark of the first period to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The game would stay there all the way till the third period when the Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Mellisa Sheeran's power-play goal at the 8:06 mark of the period. The Cardinals would make it a 3-0 game on Bridget Bailey's goal at 10:06. The Tommies would get on the board at the 12:28 mark of the period on a power-play goal by Tori Bailey to make it 3-1. In the final minute of the game, the Cardinals would add an empty netter on Giovanna Senese's goal to secure the 4-1 victory.
