Beekmantown's Sam Bingel (11) with the goal squeaks past the line as part of a two-goal game. The Beekmantown Eagles would look to continue their hot start with another home contest against the Lasalle Cadets in nonconference action. The Eagles would get off to a fast start as they would get two goals in the opening period and take the 2-0 lead. When the second period came around, they would continue their hot hand as they added another two goals, both coming from Sam Bingel to take the 4-0 lead into the third period. In the third period, the Eagles would not let up having the big lead headed in as they would get three more goals two coming from Zack LaPier and one from Louis Sweenor to secure the 7-0 win for the Eagles. With the win, the Eagles go to 2-0 on the season and are yet to give up a goal after two shutout victories. Gallery

Niskayuna Mohawks @ Plattsburgh Hornets High School Boy's Hockey December 3rd 2022

Plattsburgh's Jace Lacey (21) battles for the loose puck as they barrel down on the net with the Niskayuna defender. It would be the second night of a two game weekend for the Hornets to start the season as they would play host to the Mohawks from Niskayuna. The two teams would be very evenly matched throughout the afternoon and both teams would take there chance at getting that opening goal of the game. Although it would be a single goal scored the whole afternoon coming from Hutch Ovios in the closing seconds of the second period. The Hornets would add an empty net goal in the last minute of the game to secure the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort the Hornets finish off the opening weekend at 2-0 while the Mohawks fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Hunter Ovios (13) comes in on the breakaway and beats out the goalie and puts in the net for the lone goal on the afternoon. It would be the opening night of the 2022-23 Boy's Hockey season and the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Lasalle Cadets at the AC North arena. It would be a very even game throughout to the point that there was no scoring in the first period of the game. The Cadets would get the opening goal of the game at the 4:44 mark of the second period to take the 1-0 lead. The game would remain there till the 2:16 mark of the third period when the Hornets would tie the game on the Braeden Calkins goal. The Hornets would keep the charge going and take the 2-1 lead with about ten minutes left in the game on Braeden Calkins on his second goal of the night. The Cadets would not go quietly though as they would tie the game with six minutes left and that is where the regulation would end. The teams would play a five-minute overtime with no resolution and the game would end in a 2-2. With the tie the teams start their season at 0-0-1 an Owen Chappel would make 32 saves on 34 shots on the night. The Hornets will be back in action tomorrow afternoon against Niskayuna while Lasalle will take on the Beekmantown Eagles. Gallery

Although that would be changed quickly in the second period when the Chiefs would score 1:34 into the period on the Zack O'Connell goal. The Icemen would not let the deficit last long as they would get the equalizer at the 5:10 mark on a goal from John Front to tie the game at 1. They wouldn't waste time taking the lead either as they would wait just 90 seconds to make it 2-1 on the Ryley Ashley goal. The Chiefs would continue the fight through the period and tie the game up at 2 with just over a minute left in the period on the Hayden Buckley goal. Halfway through the third period the Icemen would regain the lead at 3-2 on the Braeden Bethel goal and secure the victory. Gallery

Northeastern Clinton's Lucas Hemingway (13) finds the back of the net on the short post for the goal. It would be a non-conference game at the Rouses Point Civic Center as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars would host the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen. The game would start off slow as the teams would trade a pair of goals in the first period with Owen Ebersol getting on the board for the Cougars. In the second period, the offenses would explode as they would combine for five goals. Scoring for the Cougars was Winfield Simpson and Reid LaValley while getting on the board for the Icemen would be Jayden Grant, Gavin Phillips, and Ryley Ashley to make it a 4-3 Icemen game. When they returned for the third period the offenses would stay hot as they would combine for six goals scoring for the Cougars would be Peyton Palmer and Owen Ebersol (twice, to finish off a four-goal night) giving the Icemen the 7-6 win. In the winning effort, the Icemen go to 3-7 while the Cougars fall to 1-4 on the season. The Icemen will be back in action tomorrow as they travel 30 minutes up the road and take on the Saranac Chiefs while the Cougars have to wait till next week and take on the same Saranac Chiefs. Potsdam's Chase Rozier (30) dives back across the paint and gets the paddle save on Beekmantown's Dalton Kane (11). It would be nonleague action at the Stafford Ice Arena as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Potsdam Sandstoners. The game would start off good for the home Eagles as Luke Moser would get the quick goal at 1:57 of the first period for the early 1-0 lead. The Sandstoners would answer back just over two minutes later and tie the game at 1 on the John Friot goal. The Eagles would be in control the rest of the period with four more goals coming from Dalton Kane, Colin Latinville, Reid Fessette, and Luke Moser (second of the game) and have a commanding 5-1 lead at the end of one. In the second period, the Eagles would stay hot with another three goals Luke Moser (third and fourth of the night), Sweenor (shorthanded), and have an 8-1 lead. In the third period, the Eagles still couldn't be shut down as they would get another three goals Keegan Rodier, Anthony Marion, and Cooper Burdo to secure the 11-1. In the winning effort, the Eagles go to 5-2 while the Sandstoners fall to 1-7 on the season. Gallery
