Norwood-Norfolk's forward with the quick wrister on net. It would be a non-conference tilt at the Amer-can North Sports Complex as the Saranac Chiefs would host the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen. The game would start off tight with two evenly matched teams as they would go through the first period with neither getting a goal. Although that would be changed quickly in the second period when the Chiefs would score 1:34 into the period on the Zack O'Connell goal. The Icemen would not let the deficit last long as they would get the equalizer at the 5:10 mark on a goal from John Front to tie the game at 1. They wouldn't waste time taking the lead either as they would wait just 90 seconds to make it 2-1 on the Ryley Ashley goal. The Chiefs would continue the fight through the period and tie the game up at 2 with just over a minute left in the period on the Hayden Buckley goal.
