Norwood-Norfolk's Gavin Phillips (9) with the breakaway goal on Northeastern Clinton's Alain Juneau (33) for the goal. It would be a non-conference game at the Rouses Point Civic Center as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars would host the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen. The game would start off slow as the teams would trade a pair of goals in the first period with Owen Ebersol getting on the board for the Cougars. In the second period, the offenses would explode as they would combine for five goals. Scoring for the Cougars was Winfield Simpson and Reid LaValley while getting on the board for the Icemen would be Jayden Grant, Gavin Phillips, and Ryley Ashley to make it a 4-3 Icemen game. When they returned for the third period the offenses would stay hot as they would combine for six goals scoring for the Cougars would be Peyton Palmer and Owen Ebersol (twice, to finish off a four-goal night) giving the Icemen the 7-6 win. In the winning effort, the Icemen go to 3-7 while the Cougars fall to 1-4 on the season. The Icemen will be back in action tomorrow as they travel 30 minutes up the road and take on the Saranac Chiefs while the Cougars have to wait till next week and take on the same Saranac Chiefs.
