Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Baseball: Chazy Eagles @ Peru Nighthawks April 11th 2022
Peru's Zach O'Connell (5) with the jump throw from the hole at shortstop doing his best Derek Jeter attempt for the out. It would be a section vii baseball matchup between the Champlain Valley and Mountain Valley Conference foes as the Peru Nighthawks would host the Chazy Eagles. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get a pair of runs in each of the first two innings for the 4-0 lead. In the fourth inning, the Nighthawks would break the game wide open as they would explode for a 12-run inning and take a 16-0 lead. Then in each of the last two innings, they would get two more runs each while the Eagles would avoid the shutout with a single run in the seventh inning as the Knighthawks would get the 20-1 victory. In the winning effort, Nighthawks Ryan Maggys would lead the way with a pair of hits and a 5 rbi game. In the winning effort, the Nighthawks go to 5-1 on the season. Gallery

Peru's Wyatt Premore (9) deliveries the strike for the strikeout as part of a three-strike-out performance. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Baseball: Northeastern Clinton Cougars @ Plattsburgh Hornets April 6th 2022
Plattsburgh's Bostyn Duquette (4) slides under the tag at second base with the stolen base. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at the first game at the new baseball field as part of the Plattsburgh High School Athletic Complex. The game would start off good for the home Hornets as they would get two runs thanks to Duquette and Trombley. Then in the second inning, the Hornets would add another run because of an error as the Hornets extend their lead to 3-0. Then in the fourth inning, the Hornets would add another run thanks to a rbi single and take the 4-0 lead. In the fourth inning, the Cougars would get on the board on the sacrifice fly by Ebersol for a 4-1 game. Although in the bottom of the fourth the Hornets retake their four-run on the sac fly by Bostyn Duquette for the 5-1 game. Then in the fifth inning, the Hornets would add two more runs thanks to the king's hit for the 7-1 lead. Then in the sixth inning, the Hornets would blow the game wide open as they would explode for a nine-run inning highlighted by a pair of extra-base hits by Trombley and King as they would make it a 16-1 game and that's where the game would finish up. With the win, the Hornets get their season started off right at 1-0 while the Cougars are still looking for a win as they are 0-2. Gallery

Northeastern Clinton Cougars @ Plattsburgh Hornets April 6th 2022

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Baseball: Saranac Chiefs (JV) Vs Beekmantown Eagles (JV) May 18 2015
Saranac's Hunter Williams (5) with the tag at second to get them would-be base stealer. It would be the last JV game of the season and it would match up the Saranac Chiefs and the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would jump out to an 8-1 lead after the fourth inning. Then the Chiefs would slowly start crawling there way back into the game as they would get a couple in the fifth to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth, they would great three more to make it 8-6. Unfortunately though the rain would start coming and hard and the game would be called after the sixth inning to give the Eagles the 8-6 victory. Gallery

Saranac's Justin Burdough (24) with the tag at the Eagle trying to slide in. It would be the last JV game of the season and it would match up the Saranac Chiefs and the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would jump out to a 8-1 lead after the fourth inning. Then the Chiefs would slowly start crawling there way back into the game as they would get a couple in the fifth to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth they would great three more to make it 8-6. Saranac Chiefs (JV) Vs Plattsburgh Hornets (JV) April 16 2015
Saranac's (8) slides in safe at third under the tag. It would be the Saranac Chiefs and the Plattsburgh Hornets in Section 7 JV baseball. It would be a day that would be in favor of the Hornets as they would take the quick 2-0 lead in the first. They would extend the lead in the third to 5-0. The in the top of the fourth Chiefs would get on the board to make it 5-1. Although at the bottom of the inning the Hornets would break the game wide open and take a 10-1 lead. Then in the sixth, the Chiefs would get a couple to try and get back in the game and make it 10-3. That's where the game would finish as the Hornets would get the 10-3 victory. In the losing effort, the Chiefs would fall to 0-2 in the early season. Gallery.

NYSPHSAA Baseball: Malone Huskies Vs #11 Peru Indians May 1 2014
Malone's Blake Lewis (7) with the diving catch out in the center field to save a base hit. The Malone Huskies would host the #11 Peru Indians in non-league action. The Indians would take the 1-0 lead in the second inning when Connor Casey would score on the wild pitch. Although the Huskies would come right back in the bottom of the inning and score fours on one play as the Indians would through the ball around like a hot potato and take a 4-1 lead. The Indians would come back in the third inning and get one on Mitch Cunningham RBI single to make it 4-2. Although the game would not get any closer and the Huskies would have some great defense and secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort, Malone's Alex Johnson would go four innings of shutout ball will striking out four and giving up one hit in the win as the Huskies go to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Baseball: #15 Beekmantown Eagles Vs Saranac Lake Red Storm May 17 2013
Beekmantown's Quenton Barber (23) drops down and fields the grounder on the hop that was sent down the line and first to first for the out. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Senior Day in a CVAC Division 1 clash. The Red Storm were looking to spoil the seniors last game as they jump out to the 1-0 lead after the first inning. That is where the game would remain until the third inning when the Eagles would get two to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the fourth inning, the Eagles would start to take command as they would score times to take the comfortable 7-2 lead as the Red Storm would get one at the top of the inning. The teams would trade runs in the fifth to make the score 8-3. Then in the sixth, the Eagles would add one more to end the scoring and secure the 9-3 victory. Austin Bradish would go five innings strike of two and give up four hits in the winning effort. Talking to Coach Bell after the game he would like to thank all the seniors for years of commitment to the program and wish them the best of luck in the future. With the win, the Eagles go to 15-3 on the season. Gallery
