Saranac's Landon Duprey with the early first-period to goal to answer back and tie the game at one. It would be the rematch from last year's Section VII Boy's Hockey Championship and it would feature the #10 Beekmantown Eagles and the Saranac Spartans the Spartans would be looking to avenge their earlier lost to the Eagles. The game would start well for the home Eagles as they would jump to the early 1-0 lead on the Edward Sweenor goal just 1:21 into the game. However, the Spartans would come back just over three minutes later and tie the game at one on the Landon Duprey goal. Then with 2:30 left in the first period, the Spartans would take the 2-1 lead on the Ashton Caitlin goal. The game would stay there till the 4:53 mark of the second period when the Eagles would come and tie the game at two on the Sam Bingel goal. However, the Spartans would not let the game stay tied long as they would retake the lead at 3-2 on Ashton Caitllin's second goal of the night just 45 seconds later. Then Landon Duprey would score twice for the Spartans with one on the powerplay to take the 5-2 lead. However, the Eagles would not let the period end that way as they would get with 1:32 left in the period as Pryce Parker would score to make it a 5-3 game as they headed to the second intermission. In the third period though the Eagles would come out flying as they would score three times in the first ten minutes of the period all from Zach Lapier to secure the 6-5 Eagles win and go to 9-2 on the season as they head to Saranac Lake Thursday to take on the Lakers while the Spartans fall to 5-5-1 on the season as they will welcome a couple of teams from the Syracuse area to AC North over the weekend. Plattsburgh's Chase Laravia (2) rifles it into the back of the net and past the Pirates goal. It would be nonconference action at AC North today as the Plattsburgh Hornets would take on the Pearl River Pirates as teams look to build as they head down the stretch of the season. The Hornets would come out buzzing as they would score five goals in the opening period with four of them coming from Braeden Calkins and Chase Laravia would add one. In the second period, the Hornets would stay hot and they would another three goals 2 of them from Braeden Calkins, and James Bayers would get one to take the 8-0 lead after the second period. When the teams back for the third period the Hornet's offense was not done yet as they would another two goals this time from Dylan Pachter and Cooper Holland to secure the 10-0 win. In the winning effort, Owen Chapple would make 31 saves on the night as the Hornets would get their first win of the season and are now 1-11 on the season as they head into their game next weekend against Tupper Lake while the Pearl River Pirates go to 5-4-1 on the season. The #11 Beekmantown Eagles would return to the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena for the first time in the 2024 portion of the season and they would take on the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers. The Eagles would get off to a fast start and take the 1-0 lead just 29 seconds into the game on the Zach Lapier goal. The game would stay there till late in the period when Sam Bingel would score to make it a 2-0 game to end the first period. The Eagles would start the second period fast as well when Novak Jarus lit the lamp just 51 seconds into the period and extended the lead to 3-0. Then just about 1:30 later the Eagles would strike again and make it a 4-0 game on Sam Bingel's second goal of the game. Then at the eleventh-minute mark, the Lakers would finally get on the board with the Carson St. Louis goal to make it a 4-1 game. Then with 47 seconds left in the period the Eagles would regain their four-goal lead at 5-1 on Sam Bingel's hat trick goal. When the teams returned for the third period the offense would be on display for the Eagles as they would get 5 unanswered goals from Zach Lapier (twice), Keegin Rodier (twice), and Caden Columbus. The Lakers would add another with just seven minutes left in the game on the Ayden McCormick goal. The home Beekmantown Eagles get the 10-2 win though and go to 8-2 on the season and 3-0 in the conference. The Saranac Spartans and Plattsburgh Hornets would come together after the game for a group photo in honor of the McLane family. It would be a game tonight between the Saranac Spartans and Plattsburgh Hornets in Boy's Hockey but tonight it would be more than just a hockey game as it would be Frozen Hopes to help with brain cancer research along with in memory of Aimee McLane the mom of goalie Sean McLane that would pass just a couple days before the game. As for the game on ice, it would take till the late stages of the first period before the opening goal when Declan Baker would score for the Spartans and make it 1-0. Then with under a minute left in the period the Spartans would expand the lead to 2-0 on the Landon Duprey goal. Then just 3:08 into the second period the Spartans would start to take control of the game at 3-0 on the Landon Giroux goal. Then just about 90 seconds later the Spartans would make it 4-0 and take control of the game on the Gabriel Moore goal. Then at the 6:46 mark of the period the Hornets would get on the board and make it a 4-1 game. The game would stay there till the 2:23 mark of the third period when the Hornets would score again and make it a 4-2 game. The Spartans would answer back with two straight goals from Nolan Miner and regain their four-goal lead at 6-2. However, the Hornets would do their best to keep it a game as they would get two goals from Darren Patchen and Barden Calkins to make it a 6-4 game with 7 minutes left in the game. From there the Spartans would hold on and get the 6-4 win and go to 3-3-1 on the season but more importantly on this night getting the win for the McLane family. The Spartans will be right back on the ice as they travel to Rouses Point and take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars in another CVAC game. Gallery.

The Eagles would start to put the icing on the cake just 55 seconds after the Louis Swennor goal to give the Eagles the 4-1 lead.
