It would be the opening game of the 2nd day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic and it would feature the Boquet Valley Griffins and the Peru Nighthawks in Girl's Basketball action. It would be a tight game through the first quarter as the Griffins would have a slim 9-8 lead. In the second quarter, the defenses would stay tall and the low scoring would continue with a Griffins 8-5 quarter and have a 17-13 lead as they went to the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Griffins would their offense and go on a surge for the quarter with a 16-6 and take a 33-19 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the Nighthawks would do their best to get back in the game but it would come up short with a 13-11 quarter as the Griffins would get the 44-32 victory. Boquet Valley's Carson Leibeck (15) takes flight on the breakaway off the turnover and lays it off the window for the score. It would be the third game of the day on the opening day of the 2022 Clinton Community College Holiday Classic as the Crown Point Panthers and the Boquet Valley Griffins in a rematch of last season's section vii class d finals and it would be seen way throughout the game. It would be a very even game from the start so even that it would be tied at 10 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, there still would be no separation as they would tie at twelve for the quarter and go into the intermission tied at 22. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be seen that the Panthers had regrouped their approach and would have a 22-14 quarter and take a 44-36 lead into the final quarter. In that final quarter, it would be low scoring but the Panthers would win the quarter at 9-6 and hold on for the 53-42 victory. In the winning effort, the Panthers would now take on the Saranac Chiefs on December 28th as they would go for the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic title and go to 6-1 on the season as the Griffins fall to 3-2 on the season. The game would start off well for the Chiefs as they would jump out to the 12-4 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would start to pull away in the game with a 26-8 quarter and take a 38-12 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the Griffins would have no answer for the Chiefs as the Chiefs would win the half 37-18 and hold on for the 75-30 victory. In the winning effort, the Chiefs would go to 5-0 on the season and take on the Seton Catholic Knights tomorrow (December 28th) as they will go for the crown of the 2022 Clinton Community College Holiday Classic and the Boquet Valley Griffins fall to 5-3 season. It would be a matchup inside the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Boquet Valley Griffins in Section VII action. The game would be tight through the first half as each team would send a shot of the post that could have gave them the lead. Although when the teams came out for the second half the Griffins would get the opening goal as Braden Liberi would beat the Knights goalie. The Knights would waste little time getting the equalizer as Aiden Pearl would break down the field and beat the goalie in the 48th minute. The game would remain there through the rest of regulation and the teams would head to overtime. In that overtime period Braden Liberi would strike again off a rebound in the 95th minute to get the 2-1 victory. With the win the Griffins go to 3-1 on the season while the Knights fall to 0-4 on the season Gallery

The Boquet Valley Griffins celebberate as they get the game winner in overtime to beat the Seton Catholic Knights. It would be a matchup inside the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Boquet Valley Griffins in Section VII action. The game would be tight through the first half as each team would send a shot of the post that could have gave them the lead. Although when the teams came out for the second half the Griffins would get the opening goal as Braden Liberi would beat the Knights goalie. The Knights would waste little time getting the equalizer as Aiden Pearl would break down the field and beat the goalie in the 48th minute. The game would remain there through the rest of regulation and the teams would head to overtime. In that overtime period Braden Liberi would strike again off a rebound in the 95th minute to get the 2-1 victory. With the win the Griffins go to 3-1 on the season while the Knights fall to 0-4 on the season Gallery.

The Schalmont Sabres have crowned the 2022 NYSPHSAA Class B Northern Regional champions. It would be the #2 Schalmont Sabres taking on the #6 Saranac Chiefs in the NYSPHSAA Class B Girl's Basketball Northern Regional Finals. The game would start off low-scoring but tight as they would be tied at six after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the #2 Sabres would go on a tear and open the game up with an 18-3 quarter and take a 24-9 into the locker room. When the teams came back for the third quarter the #6 Chiefs would try and have an answer for the Sabres as they would win the quarter by a slim 16-13 but still trail in the game at 37-25. In the fourth quarter, the Sabres would leave little hope of a Chiefs comeback with a 17-5 quarter and a Sabres 54-30 win. In the winning effort, the #2 Schalmont Sabres advance to the NYSPHSAA Class B Girl's Basketball final at Hudson Valley Community College as the Saranac Chiefs comes to an end at 19-4. Gallery
