Boquet Valley's Ella Lobdell (15) drives to the basket with the Saranac defender tight to the hip as she takes the baseline. It would be the second game of the first day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic. It would feature a team from the Champlain Valley and one from the Mountain Valley inside section vii as the Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the Boquet Valley Griffins. The game would start off well for the Chiefs as they would jump out to the 12-4 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would start to pull away in the game with a 26-8 quarter and take a 38-12 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the Griffins would have no answer for the Chiefs as the Chiefs would win the half 37-18 and hold on for the 75-30 victory. In the winning effort, the Chiefs would go to 5-0 on the season and take on the Seton Catholic Knights tomorrow (December 28th) as they will go for the crown of the 2022 Clinton Community College Holiday Classic and the Boquet Valley Griffins fall to 5-3 season.
