Plattsburgh State's Nick Belger (24) crashes into the net with the puck and takes out the goalie in the process. It would be the third-place game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout featuring the #11 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Middlebury Panthers. The Cardinals would jump out and take the 2-0 lead after the first on goals from Nick Belger and Brady Pfaff. In the second period, the Panthers would fight back and get two goals of there own to tie it at 2. In the third period the Cardinals would ice the game away with three goals from Jesse Neher, Pat Egan and Joe Drabin to secure the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, Joshua Davies would make 26 saves as the Cardinals go to 4-3 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) slides in front of the goalie and takes the quick wrister on net. It would be the host Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Concordia Cobbers in the First Round of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. It would not start off good for the host Cardinals as they would give up two goals in the first period and trail 2-0. The Lakers would take the 1-0 lead 11 minutes into the first period on David Ferriera goal. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at one Cole Stallard's goal at the 14-minute mark of the first. Then just over a minute later the Lakers would regain the lead at 2-1 on the powerplay goal from Andrew Barton. The Cardinals would regain there lead to 2-1 with 5 minutes left in the first on a power-play goal by Cole Stallard. The Red Dragons would tie the game up at 2 on Darren McCormick's goal at the 11-minute mark. In the final four minutes of the second period, Pat Egan gives the Cardinals the 3-2 lead on the power play. Then five minutes into the third period Kyle Hall scores for the Cardinals to give them a 4-2 lead. In the closing seconds of the game, the Red Dragons would get a goal as the Cardinals secure the 4-3 lead. Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) on the wrap around an attempt on the short side of the net. It would be the top two seeds in the SUNYAC Championships as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would take the early advantage and not look back as they would have a 2-0 lead after the first period. In the second period, the Knights would add four more goals to have a 6-0 lead headed to the third period. In the third period, the teams would trade goals getting the lone Cardinal goal would be Nick Belger as the Knights would secure the 7-1 victory. In the losing effort, the Cardinals goaltenders would combine for 23 saves as the Cardinals go to 20-4-3 on the season and wait to see if they get an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Nick Belger (24) with a quick wrister in traffic for the power play tying goal. It would be the classic rivalry this time in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Oswego State Lakers. It would take until the 8:15 mark of the second period until we would have a goal from Jesse Neher to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Lakers would get two goals in the remainder of the period to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead after two periods. The Cardinals Nick Belger would tie the game up at 2 at the 7:17 mark of the third period on a power-play goal. Then the Cardinals would score again at the 10:09 mark from Dillan Fox to regain the lead at 3-2. Although the Lakers would get a late period goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. In that overtime Michael Radisa would score for the Cardinals at the 10:09 mark and give them the 4-3 win and send them to the SUNYAC Championship against Geneseo State. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would make 26 saves on the night. Gallery.
