The Cardinals would get the 1-0 lead 6 minutes into the first with an Antoine Desyoners goal. The Red Dragons would tie the game on the Nico Gonazlez at the 12-minute mark. The Cardinals would regain there lead to 2-1 with 5 minutes left in the first on a power-play goal by Cole Stallard. The Red Dragons would tie the game up at 2 on Darren McCormick's goal at the 11-minute mark. In the final four minutes of the second period, Pat Egan gives the Cardinals the 3-2 lead on the power play. Then five minutes into the third period Kyle Hall scores for the Cardinals to give them a 4-2 lead. In the closing seconds of the game, the Red Dragons would get a goal as the Cardinals secure the 4-3 lead.
