It would be a crosstown rival match as the Chateaugay Bulldogs would go to Malone and take on the Huskies in Section X Boys Soccer. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the lone goal of the game in the 5th minute on Zach Cowan's goal. The Bulldogs would get the 1-0 win. In the winning effort, Josh Trombly would make three saves for the shutout victory as the Chateaugay Bulldogs go to 2-0 on the season. Gallery.

Chateaugay's Grace Harrigan (22) with the top at the net for the point. The defending Section X champion Chateaugay Bulldogs would start there title defense at home against the Canton Bears. The Bulldogs would make quick work of the Bears as they would win 3 games to 0 by scores of 25-6, 25-4, 25-7 in just about 35 minutes. With the win the Bulldogs would start there season at 1-0. Chateaugay's Tristen Dibble (4) with the header at midfield he angles towards the sidelines away from the defender. The Chateaugay Bulldogs Boys Soccer would open up there season at home against Section X foe Colton-Pierpont Colts. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead in the 16th minute of the game on a goal by Tyler Jones. Then in the 35th minute, the Bulldogs would extend there lead to 2-0 on Nick Ashline. From there on out the Bulldogs shutdown defense would keep the Colts in check and get the 2-0 lead. In the winning effort, Josh Trombly would get the shutout victory as the Bulldogs go to 1-0 on the season. Gallery.

Jayson Criss (30) would beat out Mark Lamberton to the strip to take the checkered flag in Sportsman Modified for his first win. It would be championship day at Airborne Park Speedway. It would be an action-packed day of racing with Airborne's Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades, Mini-Modifieds, and Late Models along with the Northern Modified Challenge Series and the Modified Racing Series. The Sportsman Modified and Modified Series would be decided to come to the checkered with Jayson Criss winning the Sportsman Modified and Justin Bonsignore winning the Modified Series event. Also with it being championship day Nick Heywood, Robert Gordon, Bucko Branham, and Steven Bressette along with Leon Gonyo would be named to 2014 track champions.

Store Tavern's Shane Perrotte (2) slides in head first at the plate under the tag to keep Store Tavern in the game. The #2 Adirondack Archery would meet up with the #7 Store Tavern in deciding game of there Quarterfinal series. The would-be tied till the bottom of the third when Adirondack Archery would score two and take a 2-0 lead. They would add another pair of runs in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead. The Store Tavern wouldn't give up though as they would get two runs in the fifth to cut the lead in half at 4-2. Although Store Tavern would get the tying run on in the sixth and seven it wouldn't be enough though as Adirondack Archery would hold on for the 4-2 win and win the series 3-2. Gallery

The Store Tavern's Riley Lawless (1) with the pick at third base and fire to first for the out. The #2 Adirondack Archery and #7 Store Tavern would meet up in game three of the Quarterfinals of the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The teams would trade runs in the second and be tied at one. In the third inning Adirondack Archery would score two and take a 3-1 lead. In the fourth, The Store Tavern would get three, and Adirondack Archery would get one and game again be tied at four. Then in the sixth store tavern would get five to take a 9-4 lead. Adirondack Archery would come back in the top of the seventh and tie the game up at 8. Then at the bottom of the seventh Mike Orsmby would end it with a walk-off single to give the Store Tavern the 10-9 win. It would also keep the series alive as Adirondack Archery would still lead 2-1 in the best of five. Gallery

The #7 Store Tavern would meet up with the #2 Adirondack Archery/Wendell's in the quarterfinals of the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The teams would trade runs in the first inning and be tied at two. In the third inning, Adirondack Archery would score three runs and take a 5-2 lead. Although at the top of the fourth the Store Tavern would come back and score four runs to take a 6-5 lead. Then would the bottom of the fourth where Adirondack Archery would score eight runs and take a 13-6 lead. The score would stay there till the seventh when the Store Tavern would try and make a last inning comeback that would fall short and Adirondack Archery would hold on for the 13-10 victory. With the victory, Adirondack Archery would take a 2-0 lead in the five-game series. Gallery

The #4 Adirondack Archery would meet up with the #5 Store Tavern in game one of the Quarterfinals of the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The teams would trade runs in the first and the game would be tied at two. Adirondack Archery would break the game open in the third with 5 runs to take the 7-2 lead. The Fourth Ward Cardinals pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2014 Champlain Valley Baseball League champions. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up with the Meron's Expos in the 2014 Champlain Valley Baseball championship. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would be in total control from start to finish as they would win the first game 10-7. Although that score would be closer then it would appear as the Cardinals had a 10-1 lead going into the last inning. Then in second game there would be little doubt throughout the game as they would get the 16-3 victory and be crowned the 2014 Champlain Valley Baseball League champions. Gallery.

Huntley Trucking/Liquor and Wine Warehouse Run Wild Night Airborne Park Speedway August 23 2014

Jason Drugan (17) would give a bump to Jamie LaFountain (20) as they would battle for the lead in the Sportsman Modified Feature. It would be the Huntley Trucking/Liquor and Wine Warehouse Run Wild Night at Airborne Park Speedway where the 358 Modified could add wings and anything else they wanted. Also as a special attraction, there would be Spectator Races and an Endro Race. As for the main races on the card Pete Blaney would win the Mini-Modifieds, Josh Terry would get a very emotional Renegade victory, Nick Heywood would win the Sportsman Modified and Leon Gonyo wins the 358 Modifieds. There would lot tight racing throughout the night and few wrecks with the biggest one being Jessey Mueller meeting the turn one wall rather rudely. All the feature races would see the second place chasing down the leader and coming up just short on getting the victory. Next weekend will be the place points event for the season and Champions will be crowned.
