The game would start great for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal just 8 minutes in on the shorthanded goal from Josh Belgrave for the 1-0 lead. The Red Dragons would return just 4 minutes later and tie the game up on the Nate Boak goal. Then, just 2 minutes after that, the Red Dragons could take the lead on the Nathan Garnier goal and make it a 2-1 game. The game would stay there till the 13:53 mark of the second period when the Red Dragons would extend their lead to 3-1. The defense would hold tall, and that's where the game ended as the Red Dragons would get the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Red Dragons, they would go to 4-2 in the season, and Ronan Mobley would make 21 saves on the night.
