Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) looks to put it in on the doorstep. It would be the semi-finals of the SUNYAC Hockey Tournament and it would feature the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the #6 Brockport State Golden Eagles for the right to go to the finals. It would be a game that would turn into a goal-fest. As the Cardinals would have a 4-1 lead after the first period on goals from Connor Toomey (twice) along with Dillan Fox and Mark Constatine getting the goal for the Eagles would be Bobby Chayka. The second period would belong to the Eagles as they would get three goals from Bobby Chayka (twice) and Troy Polino to tie the game at four. In the final period, the Cardinals would outscore the Eagles 3-1 with goals from Mark Constatine, Connor Gorman, and Michael Cassidy, and getting the lone goal for the Eagles would be Chris Luker as the Cardinals get the 7-5 victory. It would be a game that would turn into a goal-fest. Plattsburgh's Luke Bashelta (23) with the quick wrister on net. It would be a rematch of last week as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oswego State Laker. This time the steaks would be higher as it would be in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals and for the right to play for the championship. The game would remain scoreless until the 2:49 mark of the second period when Alex Jensen would score to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there til the 6:24 of the third when Mike Montagna would tie the game at one. The Lakers would take the 2-1 lead at 10:15 on Josh Timpano's goal it would end up being the winnter as the Cardinals fall 2-1. In the losing eddort Mathieu Cardieux would make 23 saves as they finish there season at 19-5-2 on the season.Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals at the Ronald B Stafford Memorial Arena. The game would remain scoreless until just 27 seconds into the second period when Dillan Fox would light the lamp to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. Plattsburgh State's Jared Dockings would score at the 13:08 mark of the second period to make it 2-0. Then with just under two minutes left in the second Kaz Iwanmotto would make it 2-1 at the end of the second period. Then just 53 seconds into the third Mark Constantine would score on the power play to make it 3-1. Then at 3:53 Alex Jensen would score on the same power play to make it 4-1 Cardinals. Then with 43 seconds left in third Connor Gorman would add the empty netter to give the Cardinals the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop 22 of 23 shots on the night as the Cardinals go to 19-6-1 on the season. Plattsburgh State's Mark Constantine (24) battles for the puck along the broads. He would get the game-winner in the third overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would defeat the Buffalo State Bengals 4-3 in three overtimes to advance to the conference finals in the 2nd longest division III hockey game in history. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead three minutes into the second period on Jake Monney's goal. Then Jared Dockings would extend the lead to 2-0 with 9 minutes left in the second period. The Bengals would cut the lead in half with 4 minutes left in the period to 2-1. The Cardinals would take the 2 goal lead back with 2 minutes left in the third period on Patrick Jobb's goal. In the third period, the Bengals would get two goals including one with the extra attacker to sends us to overtime tied at 3. That is where the score would remain till Mark Constantine would send the home fans home happy with his goal 11 minutes into the third overtime on the 71st shot of the night. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop 38 of 41 shots on net. With the win, the Cardinals advance to the SUNYAC Championship next weekend at Oswego. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo after defeating the Fredonia State Blue Devils 4-1 in the SUNYAC's Finals to claim there 20th SUNYAC Championship. The Cardinals would have a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Eric Satim and Cody Adams (Game Winning Goal). The Cardinals would strike for two more in the 2nd period to increase there lead to 4-0 after two periods on goals by Ryan Franan and Dylan Clarke. Fredonia State would break up shut out late in the third period to finishing off the scoring. With the win, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals have earned a spot at the NCAA Tournament and will wait to see who their opponent will be. Gallery.
