The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs and #9 Edwards-Knox Cougars meet up in the Section X Class D Quarterfinals at Massena High. The Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute on Brianna Cook's goal. Then in the 4th minute they would extend the lead 2-0 on Danielle Charland goal to make it 2-0. The game would stay there til the 45th minute when Rachel Young would make it 3-0 Bulldogs. Then in the 46th minute, Alissa Cook would extend the lead 4-0 for the Bulldogs. Then in the 47th minute the Bulldogs would make it 5-0 on Brianna Cook's second goal. Then in the 55th minute the Bulldogs Alissa Cook would score her second goal to make it 6-0. The Grifins now advance to the Finals taking on the winner of the Minerva-Newcomb/Chazy game at PHS. In the second half, Trevor Brooks(24) - E-Town/Westport - would score the loan goal of the game at 60:11 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) as the Griffins would win 1-0. The Griffins had 13 shots, 7 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls, 0 offsides. The Beavers had 3 shots, 13 saves, 2 corner kicks, 9 fouls, 1 offsides and 1 yellow card for delay of game (60:43).

The Bulldogs would make quick work of the Panthers winning the match in about 45 minutes in straight sets by scores of 25-7 25-4 and 25-12. In the second half, it would be more of the same and they would win the half 14-0 and secure the 28-0 win. The American Legion/SL Trucking would meet up with the Northeast Monsters in week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League. It would be a defensive battle in the first half and the American Legion would take the slim 6-0 lead at the break. In the second half, both teams offenses would walk up and American Legion would win the half 13-6 and secure the 19-6 victory. The Saranac Chiefs (JV) would host the Ausable Valley Patriots (JV) in the last JV game of the season. The Patriots would take the 6-0 lead after the first quarter and hold on till late in the second quarter when the Chiefs would get on the board with a Johnny Devins touchdown to tie it at 6 at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second the Patriots would come to play and score three scores to make it 28-6. In the fourth quarter, the teams would trade sores including the big catch in the endzone by Saranac's Brandon Velie for the score as he rips it from the defender's hand. The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two-point conversion and take an 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriot's good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one-yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. The Lady Panthers now advance to the Semifinals taking on the winner of the Willsboro/Chazy game. In the second half, Kayli Stone(1) - Crown Point - would score the lone goal of the game at 78:50 assisted by Hannah Palmer(13) as the Lady Panthers would win 1-0. Westport Lady Eagles shut out Johnsburg Jaguars 3-0 in girls MVAC soccer. Later on in the first, Taylor Gough(13) - Westport - would score at 27:15; the goal was unassisted giving the Lady Eagles 2-0 advantage. In the winning effort, the Bulldogs would finish off the undefeated season at 16-0 and be crowned the 2014 Section X East Division champions. It would be week 5 of the North Country Flag Football League as the West Side Saints and Northeast Monsters would lock up in battle. It would be a game that would see both teams have trouble getting there offenses going. The game would eventually need overtime as they went into extra period still tied at zero. In the extra period, Tevin Conners for the West Side Saints would make in an interception in the endzone that he would return for the game-winning score to get the 6-0 victory. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in Week 7 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Indians offense would be in form as they would take the 14-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as they would extend the lead to 29-0. In the second half it would be more of the same as they would outscore them 22-0 and get the 51-0 win. Then in the 71st minute, the Bulldogs would extend the lead to 2-0 on Katie Beach's second goal of the night and get the 2-0 victory. It would be a game that Malianakas would control from start to finish where the Monsters would have a problem getting across midfield. Saranac's Hunter Church (33) stretches out for the touchdown to get the Chiefs on the board. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in the first-ever Saranac River Bowl. The Hornets would take the 6-0 lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The score would stay there till the third quarter when the Hornets would get a second rushing touchdown to make it 12-0. Then later in the third quarter the Chiefs would get on the board on a Hunter Church touchdown to make it 12-6. Then with about four minutes left in the game Caiden Goodman would catch a tipped ball in the end zone and tie the game up at 12. Then after a very short punt by the Hornets the Chiefs would get the ball back and George Miller would take it up the middle for the winning touchdown with under a minute for the 20-12 victory. Then when teams came back for the second the Bulldogs would insure the win on Brianna Cook's second goal of the game in the 40th minute to make it 4-0. This would be a early season battle for the top spot in the league as both teams would coming in undefeated at 3-0 on the season. With that being said you could deffenately tell this was top level game. T. Malianakas would take a 14-0 lead at the half. In the second half the American Legion would try and make the comeback but it would come short as they would only get one score to make it 14-7. With Malianakas getting the 14-7 victory they would go to 4-0 while American Legion/SL Trucking would fall to 3-1 on the season. Gallery

The #1 Plattsburgh North Stars would host the #2 Watertown Red Black in the empire football league championship for the third time in five years. The game would be played in steady rain throughout the night. The Plattsburgh North Stars would get the lone score of the game on Jamil McCray's rushing touchdown. With the lone score of the game, the North Stars would get the 6-0 victory with the help of there shutdown defense. Then just about two minutes later the Chiefs would extend the lead to 14-0 on Zack Martin's 4-yard run. Then three minutes into the second quarter Zack Martin would score again 1 yard out and take the 22-0 lead headed into the half. Then in the third quarter, Caiden Goodman would score on the 15-yard reception to make it 29-0 at 9:03 of third. Then in the closing seconds of the third Hunter Church would score from three yards out to make it 36-0. Then in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, Skinadar would put the Patriots on the board with the 6-yard touchdown reception to make it 36-7. Then with under 6 minutes left in the game, Hunter Church would get his second touchdown of the night on a 14-yard run to make it 43-7. From there on the Chiefs would hold on for the 43-7 victory.
