The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals returned to the Stafford Ice Arena to take on SUNYAC opponent Morrisville State Mustangs in a game that would be tight till the 3rd period. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Trinity Bantams in the finals of the 14th annual Cardinal Classic at the Ronald B. Stafford Arena. The Cardinal would control the game from the drop of puck and would have a 2-0 lead after the first period before they exploded for five goals in the second period and then added a couple more in the third period for the convincing 9-0 win.
