Plattsburgh State's Mike Vargus (17) put the tag on the Lakers base runner looking to steal second base. As for the game the Cardinals would host the Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC Doubleheader action. The first game would be scheduled for seven innings but they would decide to play ten instead. Where the Lakers would get the 4-0 win as the Cardinals would have some costly errors in the tenth. In turn that would ruin a great game on the mound for Brian Burns where he went the distance giving up 1 earned run and 10 hits while striking out 5. In the second game would get more scoring out the teams. The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when Mark Chavez would have a Scarface fly to make it 1-0 Cardinals. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Lakers would answer back in the top of the fifth with three runs to make it 3-1 Lakers. The Cardinals would get closer in the bottom of 6th on Brian Latullipe's fielders choice to make it 3-2 Lakers. The Lakers would secure the win with single runs in the seventh and ninth to get the 5-2 win. With losing the Cardinals fall to 11-23 on the season. The Cardinals will look to finish the season a good note as the host the Castleton State Spartans on Sunday. Gallery

Canton's Emma Rexford (20) with the Erin Marshall (7) as she slides in at second on the stolen base attempt. The Malone Huskies would host the Canton Golden Bears in Section X action. The Bears would get the early 1-0 lead in the first although the Huskies would answer right back with two in the bottom of the inning to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead after the first. The Huskies would add a run in the third inning to make it 3-1. Then in the sixth, the Huskies would add to more to put the game out of reach and secure the 5-1 win. Leading the way for Huskies would be Janelle Headen with two rbi's along with Erin McDonald with two hits. Abby Sharlow would go five innings striking out five for the win. With the win, the Huskies go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Softball: #18 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Norwood-Norfolk Flyers May 3 2013

Chateaugay's Courtney Boyea (5) with the heater for the strikeout for one of her eleven on the day. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in the home opener of the East Division. The Bulldogs would jump out to a quick 4-1 lead after the first. The Bulldogs would get another run in the second to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would tack on another three runs thanks to two RBI's from Courtney Boyea. In the fourth Gabby LeFleur would add another run on Sacrifice RBI to make it 9-1. The Bulldogs would get two more in the 6th to make it 11-1. The Lumberjacks would break up the no-hitter in the seventh inning and get two runs to make it an 11-3 final. In the win, Courtney Boyea would go the distance and strike out eleven. With the win, the Bulldogs go to 2-0 on the season.

St. Lawerence County Fair Spring Derby Gouvenouer, NY April 21 2013

The #23 car would put a shot right in the back corner of the #16 (the eventual champion) car as he would be going for the tire and take him out for the day. The St. Lawerence County Fair would host there Spring Demolition Derby. There would be 47 cars that show up for the event that would be divided up into five heats and the championship. There were some guys out there that would be struggling for traction on the muddy and sandy track all in all it would be a good derby though. In the end, #16 car would be crowned the champion and take home bragging rights trophy, $500, and a stop in the championship at the fairs derby on August 4th. Gallery

The Malone Huskies would host the Potsdam Sandstones in non-league action. The teams would trade runs in the first inning to tie it at 1. After the Sandstoners would start pouring it on they would get 1 in the second, six in the fifth, and three in the seventh. The Huskies would get one back in the sixth as they would fall 11-2 The key factor in the Huskies loss would be that they combined to give up 16 walks. With the lose the Huskies fall to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

Malone's Jordan Yando (14) makes contact on the pitch and sends it to the outfield for the base hit. he Malone Huskies would open up there season at home against fellow central division team Ogdensburg Blue Devils. The Huskies would get four runs in the opening inning thanks to three walks from the Blue Devils. The score would stay there till the third when the Huskies would get four more runs thanks to walks again to make it 8-0. The Blue Devils would get on the broad in the fourth to make it 8-1. The Blue Devils continue there comeback with two more in the 5th to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth, the Blue Devils would get even closer and make it tight down the stretch with four in the inning. The Huskies would shut them down in the seventh to hold on for the 8-7 win. Alex Johnson would help the Huskies get the win with a couple rbi's at the plate. Plattsburgh State's Will Hockenjos (10) splits through of Cortland State's defenders. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC team and number 1 team in the country Cortland State Red Dragons in conference action. The Red Dragons would jump out to the quick 5-1 lead after the first quarter with the lone Cardinals goal from Joey Kramer. In the second quarter the Cardinals would do there best to get back in it and tie the Red Dragons at 8 at the break. Scoring for the Cardinals in the second quarter would be Joey Kramer (twice), Tom Duggan, Tim Lawerence (twice), Nick Travers and Brett McClelland. The game would remain tied at 10 as the teams went into the fourth scoring for the Cardinals were Tom Duggan and Tim Lawerence. In the fourth quarter the Red Dragons would prove to be to much as theu would outscore the Cardinals 5-2 and get the 15-12 win. For the Cardinals Joey Kramer and Brendan Damn would get goals in the fourth. In the losing effort Gordie Gehring would stop twelve shots as the Cardinals fall to 8-2 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up the home portion of the season againist SUNYAC foe Cortland tate Red Dragons in double header action. The Cardinals wouldn't have much of a answer as they would lose both games by a score of 7-0. The downfall for the Cardinals would there errors and giving up the big inning. In game would they would just not be able to get hits as they were held to four hits. In game two there downfall would be four errors and allowing a five run 5th inning. We lose the Cardinals fall to 3-11 on the season, They will look to get back on track Wednesday when they host Lyndon State. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Clarkson Golden Knights March 27 2013

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celeberate on the feild as Brett McClelland gets the game winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would fellow north country foe the Clarkson Golden Knights in non conference action. The game would be stragertic match up as both were looking for the edge throughout the game. The Cardinals would take 1-0 lead at the 6 minute mark of the 1st quarter of Joey Kramer's goal. The Golden Knights would tie it up at the 10 minute mark of the first quarter on Mark Nortz's goal. Then just 30 seconds the Cardinals would regain h lead on Brendan Damm's goal to make it 2-1. The Golden Knights would tie the game back up with two minutes left in the first on Jeff Sceria's goal to make it 2-2 after one. Three minutes into the second the Cardinals take the lead back on Tom Duggan's goal at 3-2. The just a minute later the Golden Knights tie it back up at 3-3 on Jack Dowst's goal. The Golden Knights would take there first lead of the game at the 7:30 mark of the second quarter on Brendon Sherin's goal and take the 4-3 lead into halftime. The Cardinals would tie it back up just two minutes into the third period on Joey Lramer's second goal of the night. Then with under 5 minutes left in the third Brett McClelland would score to regain the Cardinals lead at 5-4. Then Brett McClelland would strike again just 1:30 for his on the day and make it 6-4 Cardinals. The Golden Knights Mark Notz would score his second of the night 2:30 into the fourth to make it 6-5. Then with just over 5 minutes left the Golden Knights would tie the game at 6 on Corey Herrington's goal. With just over three minutes left the Cardinals regain the lead on Tim Lawerence's goal at 7-6. The Golden Knights would tie it right back up on Brendon Sherin's second goal of the game to force overtime. In the overtime Brett McClelland would send the home team and crowd home happy with the game winner at 2:09 of overtime for the hat trick on the day. In the winning effort Cardinals goalie Gordie Gehring would make 11 saves as the Cardinals go to 8-1 on the season. The Cardinals return to conference play March 30th against #1 Cortland State. East Coast Snocross - Titus Mountain Malone, NY March 22 2013

Mike Pillotte (748) Leo Patnaude (200) and Jesse James Bonaduce (322) take it three wide into the first corner at the start of the Pro-Lite race. The East Coast Snocross would return to Malone, NY at Titus Mountain and for second year in a row it would be season finale weekend. There would be around 200 racers that would take part in the 13 different classes offered. With the season championship on the line the racing would fast and furious as they would go for the season crown. The ECS would nort disapoint as they would make a very challenging course there were all drivers would need to stay focused or pay the price. The racers will return Saturday March 23 for the last race of the season. Gallery
