Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball: Northeastern Clinton Cougars @ Plattsburgh Hornets April 25th 2022

Northeastern Clinton's with the diving catch on the low line to shortstop. The Plattsburgh Hornets would be the away team as they play at home against the Northeastern Clinton Cougars a the Cougars' field was not ready to be played on. The game would start off good for the Hornets as they would get two runs in the first inning for the 2-0 lead and that's, where the game would stay until the bottom of the third when the Cougars would answer with two of their, own and tie the game at 2. Although it would not be tied for very long as the Hornets would answer back in the fourth inning with three runs and retake the lead at 5-2. Then in the fifth, the Hornets would get two more as they would extend the lead to 7-2. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cougars would get a single run to make it a 7-3 game, and then at the bottom of the sixth, the Cougars would add another three runs and make it a 7-6 game as they went to the seventh. In the seventh inning, the Hornets would the game away as they would add three runs and get the 10-6 win. Gallery

Saranac Lake Red Storm @ Peru Nighthawks April 26th 2022
Peru's hitter with the base hit that she sends down the line. The Peru Nighthawks would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball action. The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the third when the Nighthawks would open up the scoring four runs. In the top of the fourth, the Red Storm would cut the deficit in half as they would get at 4-2. The Nighthawks would explode for eight runs in the sixth inning and extend the lead to 12-2. The Red Storm would an effort in the seventh to get back in the game but they would only get three runs. As the Nighthawks would hold on for the 12-5 win. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball: Saranac Chiefs @ Peru Nighthawks April 11th 2022

Peru's pitcher deliveries the strike as part of the complete game win. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball matchup between the Saranac Chiefs and the Peru Nighthawks in early season action. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get five runs in the first two innings and take the 5-0 lead. In the third inning, the Chiefs would start to get back in the game with two runs on Benjamin and Owen base hits for a 5-2 game. The game would stay there till the sixth when the Nighthawks would get two runs again to resecure their five-run lead at 7-2 and that's where the game would finish for the Nighthawks win. Gallery

The game would start off fast and furious for the home Hornets as they would get six runs in the first for the early 6-0 lead. The Hornets would continue the offense in the second inning as they would get three more to extend their lead to 9-0. The early game success would continue in the third with another two runs and they were off to the races with an 11-0 lead. The game would stay there all the way to the 6th inning when the Nighthawks would finally get on the board with a pair of runs for the 11-2 game. Although the Hornets would get four runs in the sixth to make it a 15-2. Then the last inning the Nighthawks would get a pair as they made a last-ditch effort at the game as the Hornets get the 15-4 win and go to 1-0 on the season while the Nighthawks fall to 0-1 Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Softball: Malone Huskies Vs Massena Red Raiders May 2 2013

Malone's Morgan Fountain (2) applies the tag on Massena's Bailey Dillaboyd (11) as she was trying to slide in at the home plate. The game would remain scoreless until the third inning when the Huskies would erupt with six runs. The game would remain there until the 5th when the Huskies would get five more and make it 11-0. Then in the sixth, the Huskies would finish off the game with four more to get the 15-0 victory in six. Leading the way for the Huskies offensively was Morgan Fountain who went 2-3 with 2 RBI's On the mound Abby McCauley would get the complete game shutout victory while striking out eight. With the win, the Huskies go to 6-0 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Kayla Legacy (1)winds up and fires a strike. In a game that would turn out to be a slugfest, the Chateaugay Bulldogs would fall 22-13 against the Lisbon Golden Knights. The story of the game would be lots of runs and some misplaying the field would lead to runs. The 5th inning would be the Bulldogs dagger as they would allow 10 runs. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Softball: #19 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #18 Colton-Peirpont Colts May 22 2012

Chateaugay's Holly Zeldenrusst (17) fields the bunt in front of the plate and fires to first for the out. In a battle for first place in the East division, the Chateaugay Bulldogs would fall 3-0 to the Colton-Pierpont Colts. The Colts would get single runs in the fourth, fifth, and six for the victory. In losing effort Courtney Boyea would go the distance giving up 5 hits and striking out nine. With the lose the Bulldogs finish there season at 10-2 in three-way tie for there first division title with Colton-Pierpont and Parishville-Hopkinton. Gallery
