Plattsburgh's Declan Baker (13) scored the goal as he fell down in front of the net for his second goal of the afternoon. It would be the 2025 home opener for the Plattsburgh Hornets as they would take on the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to start their 2025 Section X season. The Blue Devils would jump out to a big lead after the first quarter at 8-1, and scoring for the Blue Devils would be Ty Jacobs (twice), Aiden O'Neil (fourth), Brody Barrett, Tegan Frederick, and scoring for the Honets would be Alek Duprey. In the second quarter the defense would be the name of the game all around as the Hornets would win the lower scoring quarter at 3-1 as Declan and Killan Baker along with Alek Duprey second of the game and getting the one goal for the Blue Devils would be Tegan Frederick second of the game to make it a 9-4 Blue Devils lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Blue Devils would take control of the game with a 3-0 quarter as Nathan Irvine, Ty Jacobs (third of the game), and Aiden O'Neil (fifth of the game) made it a 12-4 game after the third quarter. In the fourth quarter with the outcome no longer in doubt the teams would empty the benches and the Blue Devils would win the quarter 2-1 on Tanner Fonda and Kaden Bogart goal for the Blue Devils and getting the lone goal for the Hornets would be Declan Baker as the Blue Devils secuer the 14-5 victory. In the winning effort, the Blue Devils Jackson Thronhill would make eight saves as they go to 4-0 on the season as they head into their next gam against the Salmon River Shamrocks. As for the Plattsburgh Hornets, they will fall to 0-3 on the season as they head into their last game before the break against the St Lawerence Larries. Gallery

It would be a rare regular-season meeting between a pair of top-ten-ranked teams in the state as the #10 Saranac Spartans would host the #3 and undefeated Ogdensburg Blue Devils from the American North Sports Center. The visiting #3 Blue Devils would waste little time getting the game's opening goal at the 3:45 mark of the first period when Tegan Frederick would light the lamp for the 1-0 lead. The Spartans would come firing back and tie the game at 7:17 of the period when Gabe Moore would snip the wrister to tie the game at one, which would be the only scoring of the period. The game would stay there till the 9:03 mark of the second period when Nate Irvine would find the back of the net and give the Blue Devils the 2-1 lead, and that's how the second period would end. Then, in the third period, the Blue Devils would extend their lead to 3-1 on Nate Irvine's second goal at 2:30. The Spartans returned 90 seconds later and made it a one-goal game again on the Ryan Campbell goal and made it 3-2. Although the one-goal game would be short-lived as just over a minute later, the Blue Devils would make it a two-goal game again when Rocco Testani would score and make it 4-2. From there, the Blue Devils' defense would finish off the Spartans and add an empty netter late in the game from Laughlin O'Donnell as they secured the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, the Blue Devils would stay perfect on the season at 13-0 as Ty Jacobs would make 26 saves on the afternoon, and they will be back in action Tuesday as they take on the St. Lawerence Larries. As for the Saranac Spartans, Shawn McLane would make 32 saves in a losing effort as they fall to 8-4-1 on the season and will take on the Plattsburgh Hornets Tuesday in the Aimee McLane Memorial game. The Ogdensburg Blue Devils would be named the 2024 Class B 7/10 Super Bowl champions 14-10. It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class B Football tournament, and it would feature the #16 Beekmantwn Eags from Section VII taking on the #22 Ogdensburg Blue Devils from Section X from the Plattsburgh High School with the winner getting a spot in the quarterfinals. It will host Section II, Glens Falls. The game would start as a defensive battle with both teams feeling each other out, and there would be no scoring in the opening quarter. The first score of the game would come in the opening minute of the second quarter when the Blue Devils got one board with a 7-yard run by Luca Labella for the 7-0 lead. However, the Eagles would answer right back on their next drive with an 8-yard quarterback keeper as Porter Hunter would score to tie the game up at seven, and that's where they would stay for intermission. The Eagles would take their first lead of the game at 10-7 on a 31-yard field goal from Patrick Hagadorn at the 8:42 mark of the third quarter. The game would stay there till the 3:03 mark of the fourth quarter when Luca LaBella would find the endzone for the second time of the night from 2 yards out for the 14-10 Blue Devils end. The Eagles would have their chance down the stretch to get their lead back, but their effort would come up short, and the Blue Devils would get the 14-10 win. In the winning effort, the Ogdensburg Blue Devils go to 9-1 on the second and will get Glenns Falls next weekend in the quarterfinals from Potdsdam. As for the Beekmanton Eagles, their season will end at 8-2. Gallery

It would be the third game of the season for the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in Section X Boy's Lacrosse action and the first true home game for the Hornets after a neutral site game against Canton to start the season and then on the road to the Malone Huskies. It would be home cooking for the Hornets as they would jump out to a quick 4-0 lead over the Blue Devils just 90 seconds into the game. However, from there the Blue Devils would come out firing, go on a 9-1 run, and take the 9-5 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the Hornets would start the second half where they started the first and go on a 5-1 run and tie the game at ten. However, the tables would turn again on the Hornets as the Blue Devils would finish on a 4-1 run and get the 14-11 victory. In the winning effort for the Ogdensburg Blue Devils go to 2-1 on the season. While the Plattsburgh Hornets suffer their first loss of the season and go to 2-1 on the season. The Blue Devils will look to continue their winning way with a matchup tomorrow against Potsdam. While the Plattsburgh Hornets will look to right the ship with their matchup Wednesday against the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers at Stafford Middle School. Gallery

It would be the second week of action high school football in New York and the Saranac Spartans would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils from section ten in nonconference action. The Spartans would get the opening score of the game on an 88-yard break-out play by Nathan Hamel to take the 7-0 lead five minutes into the game. The game would stay there till midway through the second quarter when the Spartans would strike again this time on a 33-yard pass to Alex Clancey to extend their lead to 14-0 and that's where the game would be at the half. Although when the teams would come back for the second half the Spartans would bring their offense with them as they would score on a 1-yard run by Nathan Hamel to extend the lead to 20-0 halfway through the third quarter. Then on the next offensive drive for the Blue Devils, Spartans Isaiah Lopez would pick up the fumble and take it in for the score to give the Spartans the 27-0 lead. Then as time would expire in the third quarter the Spartans would strike again on a 22-yard pass to Bryce Deangelo to extend their lead to 33-0. In the fourth quarter with just over half the quarter left Addison Kelting would score on a 25-yard run and the Spartans would take the 40-0 lead. However, the Blue Devils would be able to avoid the shutout as they would score in the closing minutes of the game. Although the Spartans would get the 40-6 win they would go to 2-0 on the season as the Blue Devils started 0-1. Gallery

Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #10 Ogdensburg Blue Devils NYSPHSAA Football Class C First Round November 13th 2021

Saranac Lake's Connor Hewitt (23) backs his way into the endzone as he is being tackled by the Ogdensburg defender. It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament between the Saranac Lake Red Storm and the Ogdensburg Blue Devils at Plattsburgh High School. The Red Storm would come out and get the opening score of the game at the 4:01 mark of the first quarter on a 2 yard run from Conor Hewitt. Although the Blue Devils would have answered at the 7:01 mark on a one-yard run by Tristan Lovely to tie the game at seven. Saranac Lake would fight back and take the lead back on a second Conor Hewitt touchdown from 19 yards to make it 14-8 at the 3:33 mark of the second quarter. Then at the midway mark of the second quarter, the Blue Devils would strike back on a ten-yard pass to Justice McIntrye to tie the game at 14 as they would head into the half. The game would stay there till the last minute of the third quarter when the Blue Devils would score on a 16 yard run by Andrew Loffler and the two-point conversion to make it 22-14 Blue Devils. Then in the final two minutes of the game, the Blue Devils would put the game out of reach on a 61 yard run by Drew Costello and secure the 28-14 win, and advance to the quarterfinals weekend.
